Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomUnfortunately for me there was a problem with the plumbing system during the night, but the next morning the staff were going to deal with the problem immediately so I am sure the next guest would not have any problems.
Clean and comfortable, the staff warm friendly and very accommodating with any requests I had. The evening meal was one of the best Indian I have tasted.

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn't like.
We were driving past and liked the look of the hotel so stopped and booked a room for the night. The staff were exceptional, friendly, happy and attentive which made our stay very enjoyable. The meal in the evening was one of the best Indian meals we have had and breakfast was really good. The room was lovely and fresh with a great view of the surrounding hills. The hotel has recently been refurbished and looks amazing, especially the decorative lighting in the restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a good location not far from the main town only a short walk. The room was very comfortable cosy and warm. Good size en-suite with a large shower and plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely Scottish breakfast. All staff are very pleasant friendly and helpful. There is a free car park at the back of the hotel. They have an excellent Urban Indian Bistro & Gin Bar called Cidsin. We had a delicious meal in their newly furnished restaurant. I highly recommend. Looking forward to visiting again.

United KingdomRestaurant has won awards & was very busy - not only with hotel guests but unfortunately the, albeit, high quality Indian/Asian menu was not to our taste. Currys were too hot for my wifes taste & no mild version was available.
The hotel premises was lovely and being bettered while we were there. Setting & views were likewise very impressive. Staff exceptionally friendly, courteous & attentive to all needs & requirements.

United StatesCraigvrack is a great family owned & run hotel/bnb with ample parking, about an enjoyable 10 mins walk from center of the high street. Everyone who works here is wonderful. We arrived a little earlier than the standard check-in time, and Lakshmi offered us a coffee while he checked if our room was ready. He apologized that the heating in the room was on a timer and not yet on, however the room was perfectly warm. The room itself was clean and well appointed, overlooking the countryside, but a little small – however this is to be expected in old buildings that have been converted, and you swap a little convenience for the charm of not being in a cookie cutter chain hotel. Breakfast is excellent, with help yourself and cooked to order options that cater for a variety of dietary restrictions. Cidsin is an excellent Indian restaurant in the hotel that is very popular with locals as well as visitors, so it’s advisable to reserve a table. It’s not a standard british ‘curry house’, but serves a fusion of traditional Indian food updated with modern techniques and ingredients, with the emphasis on depth of flavours rather than spiciness or heat. The food and service is outstanding, hence it’s popularity. As previously mentioned the staff is outstanding, both friendly and helpful. We were attending a wedding in Blair Castle, about 15 mins drive away, and asked the owner, Chetan, if he could recommend a taxi company for us to use. He insisted on driving us there himself, which was incredibly kind. You just can’t go wrong with Craigvrack, and Chetan, Lakshmi, Aniket, and the rest of the staff will look after you wonderfully. Pitlochry is a pretty town & very walkable. We particularly enjoyed ‘The Auld Smiddy Inn’ pub. Blair Athol distillery which is Scotland's oldest is in the town & Edradour is in a neighbouring village (but currently closed to visitors). Plenty of hikes & walks nearby, including to the local dam with a salmon ladder.

United StatesOne small issue was running out of hot water after two of us had showers although that seems like a problem throughout Scotland
Absolutely everything. Quaint and excellent staff with an excellent Indian restaurant below. We have had Michelin star Indian restaurants that weren't as good as this one. Staff was beyond nice and went above and beyond. Special thank yous to the two managers on duty when we stayed. Room was absolutely impeccable.
