Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Good locations and very clean for price. We had guest of the day so we got an upgrade and free drinks however the lady wouldn’t let me use it on a procecco so didn’t get the use out of it. Other than that all good

I was with a number of ex colleagues we meet there every year, but if there is a disappointment the bar closed at 23.00 when we would have liked the opportunity to chat further over a nightcap.

We are a group of colleagues who meet up once a year. We have done this for about a decade now, always coming to stay with you and going out for a meal. Unfortunately due to the bar being closed in the evenings when we get back we are now considering staying elsewhere as we really enjoy a chat over a night cap when we get back. It is important to us as you can imagine.
Room and checking in was great. Very friendly staff and food was nice too.

In the bathroom the mirror light wasn’t working so this bad it a little hard to get ready as the rooms are quite dark.
I was very happy with Daisy who worked on the front desk, upon my arrival I explained I was staying with a friend for her birthday so Daisy kindly upgraded our hotel room for free. She was very accommodating.

There’s no storage space in the rooms other than hanging space, why isn’t there any shelves or drawers space?

The noise from the construction outside was too loud The noise from the housekeeping crew was extremely loud and unacceptable The location is a bit far from the center

I booked the hotel because I had a conference at the ExCel and the hotel is supposed to be close to it. There were road works hence the walking route to the hotel was not straightforward and made it not a close one to get to. Apple and Google map took me to a dead end walking route. There were no visible signpost to show the way to the hotel from ExCel, either inside or outside. I got to the hotel eventually by trial and error. Burnt a lot of calories so have to at least thank them for that.
The room is spacious, check in process was swift, umbrella for hire is available.

We had staff members forget to remove the cleaning towel so we did not have a present sight to come back to.
We had wonderful staff and we were well looked after. They had a high level of service for our allergies and enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was nice but only lukewarm we booked out on the day we was leaving and wanted a coffee before we left and there was no where open too get a coffee the receptionist told us to use the pub round the corner

The rooms should be brighter and the floors should not have carpet as people come in with shoes so that was the only thing that felt unclean.otherwise everything else felt very clean.

Nothing - restaurant was expensive, but the food was very nice.
The staff were very welcoming and always helpful. The breakfast was a great spread and included something for everyone. Rooms were big and clean - altogether it was a great stay for a long weekend trip.

The lights in the room were a little dim as the main light mainly shone over near the entrance rather than where the desk was. We still had lights by the bed and one on the desk, but it would have been nice to have better lighting in the room.
Room was very spacious for two people, especially since both of us were attending a comic con event and had many costumes and extra pieces. Staff were very helpful whenever we had any questions or requests, and it was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
