We're not used to being by the side of a road. Light sleepers should take ear plugs! It's about a 10 to 15 min walk into where the main town, restaurants, shops are. Fine for able bodied guests but those less able may want/need to drive in and park. Be sure to book ahead for restaurants - heed the advice! We struggled in a non-peak week. There are only 3 parking bays at the property but there is street parking nearby, short walk away.

Lovely property and we were well looked after by the owner and her team. Nothing was too much trouble. Good quality toiletries. Comfy beds and pillows. Very clean. Food was excellent. Short walk to the quieter side of the beach/bay.

The room was clean and tidy with plenty of drinks to make, tea,coffee, chocolate, also bottles of water. Breakfasts were cooked to order which you ordered the night before but were cooked fresh when you came down to breakfast. Staff friendly and always helpful. The only downside with the property that has 10 rooms was the parking only space for 4 cars and first come first served, but a 24hr car park just 100 yds round the corner costing £7 for 24hrs was fine to use and you can use your parking paid for in other car parks within the local authority area so can move aound.

From the initial greeting to final farewell, Kate goes out of her way to ensure that her guests are well looked after and their needs are met. She has thought of everything, including fans in every room which is a blessing in this hot weather. The property is very well presented and immaculate, a pleasure to spend time in. As far as we were concerned there was nothing negative to say about the property.

The property was ideally situated for us. About 10/15 minutes stroll from the town. We were fortunate to have good weather so a lovely stroll along the prom worked up an appetite and after a good meal helped to walk it off on the way back.

Well, got me there. To be honest, nothing to dislike.

The Castleton has a great feel about it from the time Kate welcomes you at the front door. All looked well looked after, tastily decorated, extremely clean. Don't get me started on the breakfast! Extensive choices, all prepared to perfection and served to extra perfection by an adorable, friendly, funny lady ( I am sorry I didn't get her name). Parking: easy on nearby street. Location: perfect on the no. 50 bus to Sandbanks ferry, the start of our walk; minutes from Swanage centre. I would recommend the Castleton any time.

There was nothing that I disliked about our stay here.

We were fortunate to arrive when the small car park had a space. The breakfast was cooked to order placed the night before and was excellent. Our room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. The check in and check out procedures were the best I have ever experienced when staying in any hotel.
