Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We booked 3 rooms including 2 twin rooms and 1 family room which is more expensive but the booking info didn’t come through correctly from Booking.com to the hotel with incorrect room type and number of people. Luckily the staff sorted it for us in the end but the family room looks very different from the photo. It is not the premier look with the red decor. The staff said not all rooms have the same decor, but to us it looks like an average standard double room. But overall it is good value for money considering the location and the breakfast.
Great location to Warwick Castle, excellent breakfast and good value for money with the price including breakfast. Bed is comfortable and shower is good too.

A bit light on some of the consumables in the room, seemed to be only 1 of everything even though 2 of us booked. Minor issue for us though to be fair.
Very comfortable and clean room. Shower was excellent and room was well heated. Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked. Great start to the day.

The room was a bit tired with the blind not working and a handle breaking off the bath/shower unit. Other than that pretty good.

Bathroom although spotlessly clean and great shower the it smelt of drains system which was pungent . Didn’t spoil our holiday but we don’t think you should hire that particular room out till it s sorted we were only therefor one night but would not have stayed in that room for a second night with that smell room 8. You can’t open the window so it is a very strong smell . The staff are aware of this .
Location excellent so close to Warwick Castle.

Parking long way to walk with heavy bags from car park which isn’t free
Breakfast was delicious and was the pizza, disappointing with the parking far away with heavy bags from the car park that isn’t free, £7 a day is expensive

No parking advance information provided. This is vital to be corrected. General welcome info in the room is essential and necessary to explain use of all appliances including TV. Because it is a very old but beautiful building there are quite a few touch up maintenance works which are clearly necessary.
Location perfect. Very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely breakfast.

Limited choice at breakfast - one choice of milk, no yoghurt, no fruit. Tiny bathroom, no drawers for clothes. No robes as stated on web site.

I was surprised that my towels were replaced after one night. I really prefer to be green everywhere I go. My husband spotted a sign that I could have left outside the door, but it wasn't anywhere obvious - to me anyway.
The hotel was well-decorated with a really nice breakfast. I enjoyed the choices for breakfast and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The bedroom was large and pleasantly furnished.

The only problem we had was that guests along the corridor were making the most ridiculous amount of noise (laughing continuously and singing along to music), probably a bit drunk up to 1.30 in the morning. We had to get out of bed to go and find someone in the hotel to report to. We spoke with the night porter Shane who was most helpful and offered us an alternative room away from the noise. Not sure if the “noisy guests” were reprimanded. Otherwise a very nice two nights at the Globe Also enjoyed a delicious breakfast
