Room was dirty, stains up wall, holes in plaster, damp feeling and bathroom smelt awful especially bad in the morning. Moved one of the single beds and uncovered lots of dust. Badly fitted curtains that let light in. Loud music up until 11pm, so impossible to sleep. Was told it would end at 10pm, then 10.30. Expected more for the price I paid . I did mention to the man at reception on the first day, and he said… well you saw the pictures of the bedroom on Bookings, and wasn’t very helpful, just shut the conversation down and walked off. . (Note the pictures are not representative, as if I’d seen what you actually get, I would not have booked, never mind paid 250) I have escalated to Bookings.com customer service.

First of all the stuff was amazing and very helpful. The hotel itself is on top of an Italian restaurant that was very, very good and I traveled a lot to Italy. Regarding the rooms, mine was very big uncomfortable and it’s definitely a good value for the price

United KingdomAlthough we specified and got confirmation from the reception regarding our late check out due to tiredness and looking to rest, around 9/10am the cleaners came outside our door carrying what it seemed like a lorry load of stuff that knocked the walls, the doors and the floor vibrated, they were taking loudly in Romanian (I was born there) and cursing the manager as if he/def referred to a a male was stupid telling them to leave out room, in fact one of them told one another, I quote: go’on then - open the door and go in! We didn’t even have time to react and they’re were already inside without even knocking, both of us naked still in bed - absolutely disgusting! Felt so so so low… try and understand that, please!?

United Kingdom**Disappointing Experience Despite Friendly Staff** I recently stayed at The Globe Hotel and, unfortunately, had several issues that impacted my experience. While the staff were polite and friendly, the overall stay fell short of expectations for the following reasons: 1. **Check-in Confusion:** Upon arrival late at night, I was asked to pay for my stay even though I had already paid weeks in advance and had a confirmation email from Booking.com. This caused unnecessary stress after a long journey. 2. **Room Request Ignored:** I had specifically requested a Groud floor room or first-floor room due to mobility issues with stairs and received confirmation from the hotel team that this would be accommodated. However, I was assigned a second-floor room upon check-in. When I raised this with the staff, they informed me it wasn’t possible to change rooms. 3. **Misleading Breakfast Information:** The main reason I chose this hotel was the advertised live pizza station. I assumed this would be available during breakfast, as no clarification was provided on the website. To my disappointment, I was informed the pizza station only operates after 11 a.m (not sure about the exact time, 11 or 12)., well past the checkout time. This was very misleading, as it wasn’t specified online. 4. **Faulty Equipment:** (Check out day) On the morning of an important conference at The British Motor Museum, the in-room hairdryer stopped working after just a few seconds of use. This delay caused me to miss my Uber ride, which was subsequently canceled, leaving me to pay the cancellation fee (22 or 24 GBP). This added unnecessary stress and expense to my morning. While the staff were attentive and kind, these issues—miscommunication, unmet requests, misleading advertising, and faulty amenities—made my stay far below the standard I expected. I hope the management takes these points into consideration to improve future guests' experiences.
