Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe location was a bit further out of town than expected, you can't walk in. But that gives it a much more jungle and isolated vibe, depends what you are going for.
The staff were incredibly friendly, the hotel is done up very nicely, pool is amazing! The bed was also really comfortable with a nice view of the jungle from the room.

LatviaThis hotel is located near a VERY beautiful river ravine, the jungle view from infinity pool is just superb. The jungle sounds, the atmosphere... just so nice. The pool area is very, very nice. Even better than photos from reviews here. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Hotel staff is very friendly, the breakfast is tasty and portion size is good. I have stayed at four similarly priced hotels in Ubud and this was the best of them all!

Greecenothing...everything was perfect
Everything was perfect. The staff was very polite and really helpful on everything we needed. They were cleaning our room every day. They were asking if we need something more. The place was awesome. U feel like in paradise. We woke up in the morning and in front of us was the forest. First thing to see when we open up our eyes.

AustraliaDue to the damp climate, the room and bed linens of first smelled a bit. The staff quickly came to replace the sheets and brought a humidifier, and the problem was solved. The location is far from the centre of Ubud, although we knew, we didn’t realise how terrible traffic is in Ubud. Lots of time in the car, every time we went out. The room was old and the blind in the bathroom is mouldy. The property overall didn’t seem to be well maintained. They just look good in the photos from afar, but once you get there, you can see the details aren’t too great.
It was a real delight to be waking up to the jungle view during our stay. Super helpful and friendly staff

AustraliaBathroom was a bit smelly, I had to leave the room doors open at night due to smell coming from the bathroom as there is no wall or door dividing the 2 rooms. Had to get meals delivered as nowhere close by to eat. No TV. Workshop next door started banging at 8am and continued all morning. Roosters.
Tranquillity of the jungle. Nice pool and comfortable room. Nice Wildlife. Staff were amazing.

HungaryThe room smelt a bit due to the typical humidity, but that is literally every room in Bali. At least there was no mould in the room.
The palace is amazing. It faces the jungle and it is super quiet. The staff are super friendly and they are also incredibly helpful.

Papua New GuineaNil. Everything was all positive for us.
This stay definitely was beyond my expectations. The room cleanliness, lighting, conditions, the view and everything was perfect. There was also a laundry mart just at the driveway, so we had to do all our laundry after 3days around Bali. The staff were friendly, and very helpful trying to help me find a charger. The pool and view were amazing.

South KoreaI can see why it has such a high rating. The room is clean and has a dehumidifier so it is not humid. The facilities are as expected from the price. However, it is rare to find a place where all the staff are so warm and friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone who is tired from traveling and needs some warm comfort.

EgyptThis is by far the best place i stayed in, not in ubud, but in my whole trip to Bali. It is a 5 star hotel easily! Their hospitality and cleanliness goes above and beyond. The hotel owner and his family makes their best to make you have the best experience. If i would to recommend something i would recommend taking the deluxe room. It is worth every penny! A piece of heaven

DenmarkThere is no possibility to buy much close to the place. You can order by Grab, which the hotel is totally okay with. For us it was not a big minus, as we ate in Ubud center.
Angsoka is a bit outside of Ubud, but it is easy to get there by taxi or Grab. The views from the place are stunning and the pool is amazing. The hotel staff are very attentive and clean the room every day. Because it is a bit outside of the center it is really quiet as well. It is the perfect place to wind down and relax. Highly recommended!

EstoniaHmm, not much to add here. Ideally, it would have been nicer to be closer to town, but you can't have it all. Would we stay there again? 100%
Location: the bungalow was about 2km of a typical Bali narrow and hilly road from the centre of Ubud so you either need a scooter or use taxi to get to city and back, but it was not a problem at all. Because of being slightly out of Ubud, it felt like you are in a paradise, no noise except all the birds and frogs etc. Hosts: Well, I can't speak highly of them all, so thank you very much hosting us. They were all so friendly and helpful, even offered to pack the breakfast on those mornings when we left the place like 2am to go to other parts of the island for extra activities. Poolside was a great addition to the whole setup, too.

AustraliaMore information about the immediate area, specifically dining options, would be really good, especially as the hotel doesn't have an in-house restaurant. We didn't have transport, as having looked at the map we assumed that it would be easy to walk everywhere, but that is definitely not the case. Between the crazy scooter traffic and the semi-feral dogs everywhere, walking more than a couple of hundred metres is not a pleasant prospect. The staff suggested we could just walk into Ubud, but once you've been driven over that bridge there is no way you would attempt it as a pedestrian. They also told us we could just order something delivered on Grab, which is some sort of SE Asian version of Uber Eats. So I downloaded the app and spent half an hour putting in details for multiple credit/debit cards, and suffice it to say the bloody thing doesn't work at all. Then the young lady on reception very kindly let me use the app on her phone and reimburse her with cash (I had assumed it had some issue with Australian credit cards) - we waited an hour for delivery and then she came to the room apologetically to tell us that the app had cancelled the order without explanation. So we had half a banana and a biscuit each for dinner the first night. I'm not terribly taken with Grab. Anyway, it would be ideal if the hotel had written information in the rooms about local restaurants. It turns out there is in fact one great place in walking distance just up the hill, called DPR Art. On Google Maps it confusingly appears as either just a coffee shop or as a place for cooking lessons. It is however also a very good restaurant.
The room itself is spacious and very comfortable with a spectacular view of the beautiful lush river gully below - you get a very relaxing sense of being in the middle of the rainforest considering how close you are to central Ubud. The gardens and the infinity pool and some mysterious paths into the jungle all reinforce this feeling of isolation. The staff overall were very friendly and helpful.
