Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaAway from the hustle and bustle of Ubud in the beautiful village of Sebatu. The views are amazing the food in the restaurant is lovely. The staff are brilliant especially the reception staff. This is a true Bali experience of hospitality and relaxation. There are also several very nice restaurants in surrounding resorts and villas. This is the most relaxing stay I've had anywhere in years.

United KingdomLots of ants in the room. Had to spray the room with repellent.
Location is excellent..Very quiet during the day. Surrounded by rice fields. Local shops and restaurants within walking distance. Insects and nocturnal animal noises at night. Great plunge pool and outside bath. Fab breakfast. Staff were friendly and reliable..

AustraliaThe restaurant wasn’t my favourite in the area. If it was yummier food I’d rarely have left the villa.
It was an extremely peaceful setting. The staff were all extremely friendly and the villa was beautiful. The views over the rice fields are amazing to wake up to, and the pool was chilly and refreshing. There’s lots (really lots) of restaurant choices all within a 15 minute walk away, lots of massage options, and lots of little convenience stores.

AustraliaA bit far away from Ubud Central, hot water not consistent (would be hot for 1-2min then cold for another 1-2min)
Staff were very lovely and went above and beyond. They opened a coconut for me to drink even though I bought it elsewhere and also organised for our takeaway food to be reheated when we asked for it. Rooms are large and spacious. The private pool was very scenic. Close to the Tegalalang rice fields. Price at the restaurant very reasonable. Breakfast was really good, recommend the nasi goreng. Love the fresh juice available too, especially papaya and avocado smoothies, not too sweet

PortugalNothing to mention. Maybe a bit more variety in the breakfast. And the location is not central, but is a really quiet place.
Private pool is a plus. Staff really friendly and helpfully. Bed comfortable. There are motorcycles in the hotel a very good price.

AustraliaMaybe the food is not the best, we ordered in the restaurant of the hotel and it was room service, It was ok I mean it was not bad but there are many restaurants in Ubud much better than the hotel.
The hotel was really good, it is quite far from the center of Ubud but it's really quiet and the rice terraces in front are beautiful. I would highly recommend it if you want to relax with your partner for the holidays :)

AustraliaThe location was a bit further out of Ubud than we had realised, but worth it to wake up in the rice paddy fields! If you're vegan like me, there's not a lot for you on the breakfast menu, and no alternative milks for coffee sadly!
This stay really blew us away, the bed was super comfortable, the room was spacious and we loved waking up and jumping in the plunge pool every day. The space was very thoughtfully designed and the staff were welcoming and ready to help with anything we needed. We loved this stay!

United KingdomI would be nice if they had a safety deposit box where I could safely store my passport etc, but to be honest, the location felt very safe and I believe the chances of theft would be extremely low. otherwise I have nothing bad to say
A Tranquil location, we had a top floor villa, with own plunge pool, overlooking fields. I was extremely surprised at the lack of Bugs, being so remote, but the place was spotless. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. breakfast was really good, and no trouble to have it brought to the room. Motorcycle hire directly at the resort and very cheap. great location, the room was serviced daily and beds turned down at night, with Mosquito nets put around the bed.

AustraliaThis villa in Ubud is the best we’ve stayed at so far! The room was spacious, super comfortable, and had a stunning rice field view during sunrise. The whole vibe was perfectly relaxing and gave a real holiday feel. We loved enjoying the beautiful view while having breakfast in the resort’s restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was a shame we only stayed for two nights – we wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend and will definitely stay again next time!

United KingdomVery attentive staff, Dekta, Komang & Sakunta were always very helpful with anything and everything we asked. Our driver/guide, Dek, was great. He was very friendly, and was able to answer all our questions on local customs and Bali in general. His driving always felt safe, and any recommendations he gave us for places to visit were always perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The food was great, especially the smoothie bowls and the Nasi/Mie Gorengs. The surrounding Rice fields made us feel immersed in Bali straight away. The value for money was amazing, especially with the quality & comfort of the place, as well as all the services on offer. We will definitely be recommending Barung Bali Resort and Dek to any friends and family that are visiting Ubud.

AustraliaThe stairs up to the room but well worth it for the views. And both above 50years, we managed just fine!
Loved the location, in the rice fields off the main street. Lovely and peaceful. Great room on the 3rd floor with fantastic views & our own dipping pool. 2 balconies both with spectacular views. Excellent shower & an outdoor bath tub. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of variety. Staff were helpful & friendly & organised a massage in the room for us aswell as a driver for a day trip.

AustraliaMy only criticism would be that a couple of the meals from the restaurant were a little disappointing. This may be due to the fact they were room service? eg salmon was def overcooked, as was crispy skin duck. All the other Indonesian meals were great tho 🙂
The staff were beautiful & very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. I was on the 2nd floor - they call it the 3rd floor & the views of the surrounding mountains & rice terraces below were breathtaking! However with steep steps & 3 flights up it was a challenge for me but the staff were always so cheerful & helpful with room service & everything else I needed to make me comfortable 😊

SingaporeWe ordered room service from Mimpi Manis, the restaurant attached to Barong Bali. The food was mostly mediocre, with some being below expectations. The pad thai was too salty, Thai coconut curry was lacking taste, the pizza was wet, with toppings falling off from the pizza.
The location was great. Very quiet and peaceful. The walk we took around the area to the near by waterfall was such a joy. Every evening we were greeted by an amazing sunset which we could watch unobstructed from the private pool / bath tub. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They even came by everyday to light mosquito coils.
