Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe missed better reading lights at night. We wanted to upgrade to a villa with aircon as nb 8 was empty during our stay. When asking the staff we were told that they couldn't make that decision only the manager who would be back later. Asked again later but still no manager. Night came and still no sign so we tried to sleep but it was extremely hot night so neither 5 of us slept well. Next morning asked to speak to manager but wouldn't come in till 2. Asked again but no luck. Evening came and still no manager. In the end the villa with aircon was empty and staff didn't allow us to upgrade😞. 10am and a big bag of chlorine was added to the pool. I would have preferred that was added at night time and not while we were in the pool. There was termite activity at your head in the bedframe.
It's very close to the beach where there are many nice restaurants with the best view. There are 2 Flower Buds and we were in the 1 closer to the beach. The pool is lovely and shady and we've spend a lot of time in the water. Lovely open bathroom. Although only first person has hot water but as theweather was great that didn't bother us. The whole villa could do with more hooks to hang things and some surfaces to place itemswhen with 5 people. But the villas have a lovely quit feel about them.

SingaporeMosquitoes, bugs, insects are part of the package too. Room was also dusty, had to wear slippers inside. Location is also quite hard to get to but it’s close to Balangan beach. Wouldn’t consider this as Jimbaran area but Balangan instead. Good location if you plan to stay in uluwatu area but it was a 1 h commute to seminyak.
nice nature vibes and super friendly and hospitable staff. I was actually a fan of the outdoor shower too. Water is provided for free at the hotel restaurant.

GermanyIt took the staff more than 12 hours to remove the glasses of the welcome drink from the table on the terrace. Good that they did not fall down. Our Joglo house was situated close to the restaurant - and on our last day before departure when we wanted to sleep early the restaurant had arranged for a musician who played guitar and sang with an amplifier; it was nice music, but definitely too loud to fall asleep.
The whole compound was nice though it took quite some time to reach it with lots of traffic on the road and a drive through rubbish filled land. The reception staff was attentive and reliable - I received mail sent by courier service on the last evening and the car that took us to the airport was well on time. Check in and check out were efficient. We received a welcome drink. The Joglo house in which we staid was nice but became quite hot during the day if the air con was not on full speed. The bathroom was very big - but only accessible through high stairs - could be dangerous at night. The pool was lovely and relaxing. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good, especially the grilled sea food in the evening.

PortugalSince it’s Bungalow it was expected to have some animals entering, still they were creating some mess for our stay. Also it was a bit dirty and far away from the Uluwatu center
The poll area is beautiful, the beach next to the hotel also not crowdy and nice. The stuff is the best, they were flexible and very useful!

AustraliaThe huts have very steep stairs to the top level which can be difficult for families with young children. We had an air conditioner in our hut which was great but not all huts have AC.
The bungalows are in a perfect location close to Balangan Beach. A short stroll to the beach where you can find traditional Warungs to eat and have a drink while watching the ocean.

NetherlandsWe luckily booked ourselves a room with AC. Trust me, you do need a room with AC. Don't save a few euro per night and skip the AC. It gets very humid and warm, also at night. Would be nice as in time, all bungalows can get AC.
Beautiful houses with a large pool. Perfect location nearby Balangan beach. Scooter rental direct at the property. Easy to access Uluwatu, Bingin and Dreamland as well. We did not try the local restaurant as there a couple of awesome warungs nearbye. The outdoor bathrooms are beautiful.

AustraliaDouble suite had a huge staircase in middle of room, making it very difficult to move. Bump head in the night. Exposed electric extention cords running under rocks in the outdoor, wet bath area not safe. Coffee good one day bad the next.
Atmosphere around pool and garden. Setting and architecture of buildings (needs some work around the bathroom)

GermanyIt has more a hotel feel, ie. lacking a bit the personal character. (Although staff is nice) Restaurant closing time between 10am and 12pm can be inconvenient, as there is not much around if you need a late breakfast

Cute bungalows with outside bathroom. We felt like we were staying in the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. Comfortable beds, great aircon (I actually had to turn it off in the night as it was too cold), and a fan in the loft to keep the kids cool. Simple and clean and a great price. Nice pool and grounds and a three minute walk to the beach bars and cafes.
