Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeA late checkout option. 11am felt too early. The spa was lovely but quite warm. Having air conditioning would have made it more comfortable.
Excellent! Lots of options

GermanyNothing. This hotel is just incredible and we loved everything.
Amazing boutique hotel with incredible views of the sea. Stayed here with my wife and we fell in love with the place. Beautiful pools, amazing breakfast (loved the avocado toast, great cappuccino and and the healthy options) and delicious food. If you are looking for a nice play to stay in Uluwatu don’t look further!

AustraliaThere's nothing I didnt like! Everything was perfect!
This is an incredible hotel, not just for the view but the staff were so beautiful, personable and genuinely care. The food is excellent, ambiance is on point and the size of the establishment creates a community feel being smaller. I will without a doubt be back very soon!

BelgiumWe had an incredible stay at this amazing hotel in Uluwatu, which was the best accommodation during our time in Bali so far. The staff was exceptional, providing top-notch service throughout our visit. The private pool added to the super zen atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax. The hotel was not crowded, allowing for a peaceful and serene experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Uluwatu!

The pool. The cocktails. Need a happy hour. The staff, especially Komang and Adik, at the poolside bar were awesome. Friendly and very skilled at making exceptional cocktails. My wife made me stop. Otherwise, I would have basil smash for breakfast. Ha.

United KingdomThere’s a fair bit of construction noise during the day (which seems to be a constant for Uluwatu) and you need a scooter or taxi to get anywhere (again maybe this is just Uluwatu). The pool wasn’t very clean, although we didn’t realise we could also use the main pool in the other part of the hotel, which is a little walk down a road.
We stayed in the Kayu suite which was a lovely room. The staff were amazing, really helpful and friendly. The suites section is really small and feels more like a house than a hotel and is beautifully decorated.

AustraliaAccommodation is not within walking distance from restaurants or beaches, so you must have a scooter or use taxis. The hotel has scooters available for hire, which is handy. Just be mindful that it is a very hilly area, and there are terrible riders and drivers on the road.
We had a fantastic stay at the Gravity Suites. The Moneyt suite was just divine - spacious, bright and comfortable; the pool was awesome; the breakfast was delicious, with proper barista-made coffees included, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we need. Uluwatu was the highlight of our Bali trip and we would definitely come back and stay at the Gravity Suites.

United KingdomNot the hotels fault, but beware there is a lot of steps at this property but that is just the nature of Uluwatu. It's very hilly so you'll struggle to find somewhere that doesn't.
The location was perfect for us, around 5 to 10mins from the bars and restaurants but far enough away to have the noise, view from the upper pool area gives you a lovely sea view looking west out of Uluwatu. Pool was great, offered the perfect opportunity to cool off and have conversations with other guests. Breakfast had predominantely western options with a couple of local options also, food was all round really nice from the hotel and the complimentary breakfast really helped to set the day off right! The staff were great, available 24hrs and always super polite and friendly.

United KingdomNothing. Incredible experience
Gravity Eco Boutique Hotel - Adults Only in Uluwatu provided an unforgettable 2-night stay for our group of 7 (Sept 11-13). The serene, eco-conscious atmosphere blended perfectly with the stunning surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the ocean and lush landscape. What truly made the experience stand out, however, was the exceptional staff. Their personal touch, attentiveness, and warm hospitality elevated the visit, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. The combination of tranquil luxury and incredible service made this a memorable getaway.

SpainI think it cost per night was a bit on the expensive side for the facilities, but even so, they were nicer than other places we stayed at.
Very cool property with two different options (hotel room or villas); each site has a pool, lounge chairs, pool bar and dining facilities. It is walkable to some shopping areas in Uluwatu, however, the Main Street is pretty chaotic with cars and scooters; it is a quick car/moto ride from the hotel. Since the hotel sits away from the Main Street, you are not bothered by the noise/traffic. We loved the different breakfast options and enjoyed the infinity pool.
