Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Singapore- The Maintenance: some parts of the interior (sliding doors, wardrobe partition, the flooring, etc) start showing its age. I understand the usage of cheap(er) materials to keep the hotel rate down, however, it is starting to deteriorate, fast. Some of the water (or Aircon?) pipes on top of the corridor are dripping, make it even more slippery.
+ The Design: breezy, full of greeneries. Even if you do not have views from your room, seeing the creepers outside and along the corridors are relaxing. + The Sustainability Concepts: since opening, the property is consistent in their sustainability efforts. Kudos! + The Location: right at Prawirotaman, enough said. + The Service: great hospitality from the staff, a standard you expect from higher-end properties.

IndonesiaThe food was average, the rooms are a bit small. Our room was a bit run down and the bathroom could use a refresh: i.e moldy grout, the sink cabinet was starting to fall apart, etc…
The hotel is intreaguing and the location is great.

United KingdomGreat value hotel in a good position. Our room was clean, extremely spacious, quiet & well lit. Excellent bathroom. Staff all very courteous, ready to help and it seemed a very well run operation. We liked the extra touches like complimentary snacks in the room and drinking water dispensers in the public areas. Would recommend.

AustraliaThis is a pretend sustainability establishment. It forces you to use air conditioning in the rooms when a ceiling fan and mosquito protection on the windows would be fine. Fresh air is preferable. The climate doesn’t require air conditioning all the time. Despite the fact that water has to be delivered in a truck, the water is wasted. The watering of the plants causes lots of leakage. A good example of Green washing.
It’s modern, food was OK (could be improved though)

United StatesGreenhost is a quiet and comfortable and interesting place to stay. I don't understand the reviews complaining about the staff and the food. I had such good experiences. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the fun -- a lot of bars and cafes and bakeries close. Taxis and tuk-tuks are cheap and available to take you to the Kraton and the kampongs north of the hotel.

IndonesiaThe first time we came on 2019 the light was very dark in the room but now for the second time stayed at Greenhost the room as per my expectation, not dark and very bright but we can turn off which area we don't like too bright, i feel like home so comfy. the mattress also very nice and i feel like didn't want to get up from the bed. We love it. The area also very nice, the next hotel there is a modern market which is we can buy something and a lot of nice restaurants, coffee place by walking distance. I love the room smell very relaxing (Lemongrass) and also the soap. The hotel looks very greens makes me feel relaxed and healing from the stress. we can breathe from fresh oxygen at the hotel because all the hotel full of fresh tree. Soto Ayam is very nice at the hotel restaurant. for sure we will come back for another holiday with family!

FranceNothing specific, windows couldn't be open in my room so I couldn't renew the air which I like to do every day...Unlocking them would allow to do so

AustraliaThe breakfast wasn’t as good as other cheaper places we stayed. The aircon in the rooms wasn’t nearly powerful enough. Our initial room was directly next to the mosque loudspeaker, with no double glazing it was insanely loud. Only beer no other booze which is a shame for a place that does offer alcohol
The pool and greenery are extraordinary and rooms a great size.

United KingdomThe bathroom could do with modernising. Be aware of the 4am call to prayer that is very close by.
We stayed on the 3D floor facing Mt Merapi, with good weather you get a great view. I’m a fan of brutalist architecture especially when softened with a garden paradise, I really lived the ambience. Breakfast had a good varied selection and the pastries were fresh and well made. Check out the vegetable garden in the roof.

Breakfast spread is good. I like the local food best. Restaurant was good. I had dinner there. Nice background music. Staff were attentive. I like the greenery and the overall design. Very chic. It's close to bars so lots of entertainment. Proximity to local market so I can get some nice local food as well.

SwitzerlandIt's not a dislike, I just think small bottles for shampoo does not really fit the rest of the concept of the hotel. Further, I am not a fan of breakfast buffet (which does not mean that the breakfast is not good!).
I just love the concept with urban farming and all the plants around the building! It makes it not only beautiful from a visual point of view, but also more fresh and in addition the fresh herbs smell lovely! I like the simplistic but stylish design in the rooms and the big, comfy beds! Everything was very clean, staff friendly. Will come again, in case visiting Yogyakarta another time!

NetherlandsThe screaming children. Of course not the fault of the hotel, but the swimming pool is in the middle. We often heard children screaming at the pool from our hotel room, and didn’t find the pool to be as welcoming.
The property looks even better in person! The place is so green, there are plants everywhere. The staff is amazing and very accommodating! On the roof there is also a creative farming - it’s amazing. The room was also very comfortable!
