Our stay was lovely, the staff do everything they can to make your time at La Joya exceptional. Max, the yoga instructor, was super positive and a joy to be around. The hotel guests are lucky to have him teaching onsite. The restaurant is amazing ( staff, cocktails, and food), watching the ocean sipping on cocktails was a trip highlight. We had a very late flight on the day of checkout. Luckily, the staff were super accommodating and stored our luggage while we had access to the pool and shower. The staff really make this place great.

Staff could have been more friendly and they asked for a strange 21% tax on the displayed massage prices, which would have made the cost for an hour massage IDR 700k, while next door you could get the same massage for IDR 200k.

Nice complex with nice 2 pools and well maintained gardens. Relaxing vibe with views of the ocean and a short walk to Balangan Beach.

Issues with Wi-Fi connection and remote location (a bit far from all the shops and restaurants in Uluwatu).

We booked room but got upgraded to bungalow because they have renovation. The bungalow is large and very pretty however it is quite noisy at night, and the bed is very soft. I couldn’t sleep for two nights… due to the indoor outdoor vibe. Can almost hear everything at night and quite bright as the curtains are not fully “sealing” the open concept door. The yoga instructor at 9am is rude. Exercising at the yoga shala before 9am and ended at 9am just nice for his class to start but he shoved me off. It’s not pleasant. I never met any not zen yoga teacher in my whole life before.

It’s nice and quiet. Very quaint. They have two pools and the inside pool is very quiet and large. The property landscape is pretty.

Breakfast needs to be improved, as compared to other similar hotels the selection of food is quite poor. The are not providing even single glass of water for free , so u have to purchase again and again bottle of water ( which is not cheap) .

Location is stunning, territory of the hotel is amazing! Staff very friendly and attentive. Bungalow is clean and tidy, really enjoyed our stay!

Benedict eggs in first morning were too well done. But second morning were perfect. They don't bring free water to the table for breakfast, only fresh juice. You have to ask.

Location on a cliff, very close to Balangan Beach. Just few stairs to. Bungalows very nice and private, surrounded by plants. Very clean. Pools are great. One infinity with sunset view, the other very private and more secluded. Staff very helpfull and responsive. Good food! Good massage!

Private rooms set in there own beautiful gardens. A choice of two pools. Loved the family pool, which we had to ourselves most of the time. The beach was a short distance away and great to watch the surfing, when the tide was in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They served a good choice of cool fresh drinks throughout the day.

Everybody was super friendly, the place is close to a surfer beach. The hotel’s massage spa was great, and evening yoga with Max fantastic, doing the salute to the setting sun was a great experience

The barking dogs 🐕 were a problem at night and we love to exercise and there is no gym. Would be the only reason we wouldn't stay for a long period.

The hotel was so pretty loved the rooms and grounds. Food was amazing and well priced.

While the accommodation is a bit removed from the Uluwatu city center, this is what makes La Joya Balangan Resort an ideal retreat! Despite the rooms being fully booked, I still had the pleasure of experiencing a serene atmosphere during my solo trip. It was a small disappointment that the sunset yoga class wasn't available during my stay, but I look forward to trying it next time!

It was a bit far for me from anything else. To be honest I did not look very hard. I did hire a driver and go to uluwatu temple and it was amazing

Beautiful location away from all the bustle. Absolute peace. Wonderful place for a romantic get away. Many of the guests had children and I wondered if they would get board. But they seemed to be super happy with the pool and the beach

There is no other restaurant around, which was ok for our 2 nights stay.

Super nice resort, well maintained. Incredible sunset. Nice Bungalows and a very comfortable bed. Super good breakfast and the restaurant offers also good food for dinner. I would definitely book again.

None of the towels smelled clean. And there was a lot of animal noise at night. Both nights were filled with barking dogs that did not stop until early morning

I enjoyed the privacy of private bungalow which included separate sleeping quarters for kids. The oversized patio and green grass area helped set each unit apart to allow extra space and comfort

The facilities need to be checked overall. The toilet is quite moldy and smelly.

The decking around the villa was quite unstable in places. There were many missing swimming pool tiles. Not particularly environmentally friendly, still using plastic straws, only provided with 1 glass bottle of water a day, have to buy from hotel at high price or local vendors.
