The stairs down the Cliff, which we knew about, would put some people off even though porters bring down your luggage. If you want to walk along the beach and swim or surf in this jewel of a bay, this is the place to stay. The restaurant on the beach was delicious, so there’s no need to walk back up the steps until you check out. If all you want to do is sit on your balcony and not walk or swim on the beach and want more restaurant and bar variety, staying on top of the Cliff is for you.

Our balcony view overlooking Bibgin Beach was paradise. It was only a few steps down to the water. We enjoyed gazing at the rock formations off the coast and the gorgeous sunset, The staff was so accommodating and the grilled fish we ordered from the restaurant was delivered to our room and absolutely delicious,

There were several power outages during our stay, likely exacerbated by the inaccessibility of the location. This is obviously outside legends power to control, was a small inconvenience and honestly added a dash of adventure/romance to the stay. Legends refunded part of our payment for the inconvenience (we didn’t ask - they proactively offered)

Location location location - a hotel right on the beach. Bingin beach is a tiny, secluded, difficult to access beach, with limited development. Legends has tastefully, comfortably appointed rooms with amazing views.

The hotel is on the beach, which is a long, steep staircase away from the clifftop parking area/access roads. However, it’s good exercise climbing up and down the staircase each day!

This hotel is right on the beach, and with the balcony, you can wake up with a beautiful ocean view and hear the sounds of the waves from your room! Staff are super helpful, and they also provide porters to help you carry your luggage.

The walk to the property is through construction- I am sure this is temporary but during the stay was not the best. Next to the entrance there is a public restaurant toilet that smells. Please change bed sheets to have fully closing sheets for better experience - the sheets did not close fully and sometimes opened during the night leaving with just the duvet that is used by many people.

There are a lot of stairs to get to the hotel which is on the beach, but that's not a hotel's fault. It's a price you need to pay for the stunning view! And you need to climb up and down every time you want to leave the property to explore Uluwatu. Just something to keep in mind if you're traveling with older folks or children.

Unfortunately construction from site above was overbearing. While noise wasn’t really an issue, the access stairway didn’t feel so safe and was typically blocked with workmen smoking.

The location/view was to die for. Really could not ask for better. The room was immaculate and service was great.

I had heard that the monkeys could be a problem and was a little concerned about them being aggressive etc. However we stayed 3 nights and only saw the monkeys once on our deck. We kept our doors closed and it was quite fun watching them walk across our deck!

The room's decor was beautiful and calming. We also loved the view from our room overlooking the sea, and particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck to watch the surfers catching some waves. The cafe and bar next door served gorgeous food and was a great place to chill and also watch the beach life and surfers. Sunsets were stunning!

We were prepared for the 180 stairs to the hotel but it also meant we didn’t want to go up to the restaurants ect at the top too often, which was fine because we enjoyed the restaurants/cafes that were down on the beach.

Absolutely beautiful location right on the beach. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Nothing! Was fantastic.

The location is amazing! The stairs down are hard but once you are on Bingin you won’t need to leave. The Legends beachfront is beautiful, the room was clean and we had fresh fruit and biscuits everyday! You can’t fault the morning view.
