Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe pool areas were busy and hard to get a chair. Many of the cushions on the lounge chairs were mouldy from being wet and the pool towels could be updated as lots were stained and worn.
Beautiful grounds and love the restaurant and beachfront area. Loved the food and cocktails. The pools are beautiful and not over hot like other hotels. Our room had a lovely outlook and was always cleaned and restocked. Great location and considering we came in wet season we were well placed to walk to restaurants close by and also the Icon shopping centre.

United StatesAfter doing quite a bit of touring and sightseeing through other Indonesian locations we were ready to relax for a few days, and Segara Village was the perfect location for that. The grounds were beautiful, truly a joy to walk around in. The pools were outstanding, the restaurant was great. We spent three days there and only left the facility a couple of times and always on foot along the beach path. It was a great place to relax and take it easy.

AustraliaSanur itself was too busy for me and it was hard to enjoy with street vendors chasing you. They were very friendly and nice but it stopped me from look at their stalls (or buying anything!). Even at first light the beach was full of people and its not even peak season. But Segara village was great - peaceful and quiet.
Lovely spacious rooms set in a gorgeous sprawling garden. Nice restaurants, lots of ponds and pools. Interesting temples. Loved the open reception and the little library hut. Great for families.

AustraliaThe only complaints I have was with the showers in the room, we had cold showers in the morning and of an afternoon or evening when we wanted a shower to head out for a meal the shower was that hot it would scold you. You could not stand underneath the shower at all, you could not adjust it as there was no cold water once you turned the control to add cold water the stream of water just stopped all together. It was very frustrating and very inconsistent. The only other thing I found was the cleaners were not consistent with what they left each day, one day you would get a face washer and hand towel, cotton buds and then the next day you wouldn’t get them at all. The other complaint I have is you need to consider peoples ages before giving them upstairs rooms and also if check in time is 2.00pm it should be that not 5.00pm or 7.00pm.
Two of the pools were far too warm and not refreshing but the third pool was amazing and very quiet. Breakfast was good, you had alot of choices. Very close to the beach and restaurants and also the markets.

AustraliaWe felt the bungalow we stayed in was getting tired on the exterior and the room would benefit with side tables. Also there was no where to hang our bath towels or hand towel. I bought the drying rack in from outside. The hair dryer wouldn’t run on the bathroom power outlet. I had to use one away from a mirror in the room. We also felt the food wasn’t as good as other restaurants outside of the resort.
The gardens are beautiful and the grounds well kept. The bungalow we stayed in was very clean. The location was excellent

United KingdomTwo very small niggles. We didn’t get to the hotel until 11 in the evening, you’d have thought they would have put a cold beer and bottle of white in the fridge wouldn’t you? All the surrounding bars were shut! They clearly didn’t consult a structural engineer before building the chalets, floors are very bouncy and out of level! Will need some remediation in the not too distant future!
Superb, one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Superb breakfasts, great staff, faultless really!

BulgariaThe kid bed was quite uncomfortable. I recommend renovation of the room, especially furnitures. I would’ve like it if the hotel proposed additional services like hair salon.
We were accommodated in a ground floor room, as requested and it felt just like a private villa with enormous garden. All the staff were kind and helpful. The common areas are very beautiful, with wide range of flora and fauna. The pool areas were quite pleasant for both kids and adults. Private sand beach is also a big advantage. Tasty international and domestic food in the restaurant. Good location on the beach and close by the central street with shops, restaurants and new big mall.

I could not recommend this hotel high enough! The lagoon pool is just delicious, as are all the staff I met. The grounds are immaculate and hygiene standards are fantastic. The byrd house food is amazing and the spa and wellness centre was delightful. I will stay again.

Australia*Patchy wifi. Not available at the restaurant *Would have been nice to be able to connect to my streaming services on the TV during rainy days. * shower head for bath tub didn't work * difficult to figure out the bath taps * kids club is very small, only good for toddlers and babies. * can't charge food or drinks to the room * umbrellas are dated and a hazard, almost poked my eye out with a loose metal piece * didn't provide additional towel for my 4 year old which was part of the booking. But provided upon request * pools close at 7pm.
Nice aesthetic. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Excellent coffee at the Cafe and nice food at the restaurant. Good location. My 4 year old loved the kids pool and play area. Breakfast had a great variety. Bungalows as pictured. I like the harder matress for my back
