Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaSofitel Nusa Dua is an exceptional resort that perfectly blends luxury with warm Balinese hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable—staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. One of the highlights of our experience was the incredible buffet. The variety and quality of food were outstanding, offering everything from fresh tropical fruits to international delicacies, all beautifully presented and constantly replenished. Whether for breakfast or dinner, every meal was a delight. The resort’s beachfront location is another major plus. With direct access to a pristine stretch of beach, it’s easy to relax on the soft sands or take a refreshing swim in the ocean. The well-maintained pool area also provides a fantastic alternative for those who prefer lounging by the water in a more private setting. Overall, Sofitel Nusa Dua delivers an unforgettable experience with its excellent service, world-class dining, and unbeatable beach access. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Bali!

AustraliaThe staff were the highlight of our stay. They were outstanding. Special mention to Putri & Ditya, The bathtub in the middle of the bathroom was big and out of place. No USB charging was available in the room. It's not good value for the Millesime club, same food every day. There's not much to do after dinner. There was no live entertainment where you can sit and relax, listening to music and having drinks. The Spa though beautiful, is overpriced.
Sprawling property. We booked a room with pool access and Millesimes club excess. The room was spacious and very clean. Dinner at Cucina was excellent. Enjoyed the pool excess from our room. Breakfast spread at the Kwee Zeen was plentiful, but you have to come early.

AustraliaWould have rated it superb however our room was near the beach club and for the price you pay we shouldn’t have been able to hear really loud music until very late, especially with a young baby who was also trying to sleep. Need to either turn down the booming base at night or sound proof the rooms. Otherwise absolutely fantastic resort! Breakfasts was amazing! Gym amazing! Pools amazing!

United KingdomNo complains and I travel a large amount of the year so have lots to compare it to.
The hotel is not far from the airport so a nice smooth commute after a long flight. I knew I would be in good hands arriving at a Sofitel hotel. I was very well looked after. Everyone was happy and approachable and dedicated to great service. As a solo female traveler it was importance to feel in good hands. The Italian restaurant was perfect. The pool staff were very attentive. The hotel has a beach club attached which was a perfect way to spend the day or sit in their restaurant to escape the heat.

AustraliaWi-Fi could have been faster.
Breakfast and dinner buffet options suit everyone’s taste buds. Staff members, very kind, very caring, spoke to one at the end of the night for hours about Balinese culture. They remembered my name and would greet me when walking past. Such a comfortable bed! Seriously feel asleep so fast in that bed! Room was modern and had heaps of space. Pool area and overall gym amenities were fantastic! Wish I stayed longer.

United KingdomFor this grade of luxury, did not like the fact that the doors covering the fridge would not shut due to warping - it should have been removed for repair or replacement. Service can be a bit over-attentive but that's Bali for you. Food offering can be a little difficult to navigate initially with a lot of selection but limited choice in price/quantity.
Hotel staff are very attentive and room was prepared for our arrival with a "welcome". Hotel is modern and provides access through extensive grounds to the sandy beach beyond.

ChinaAfter 5 nights we moved to Ubud, something we won't do next time. Sofitel is great for a relaxed holiday.
It was our first time to Bali and we booked the Sofitel for a few reasons. As we have a 7yr old daughter, we were looking for a kids friendly resort. Sofitel matched our expectations and we had a great time! wonderful pools, great beach and the team was very friendly and helpful. Front Desk, Pool, beach and F&B staff all were very kind and we really enjoyed our holiday. Can't wait to come back !
