Without doubt, the highlight of our Bali trip was the final 6 days we spent at Sudamala Resort, Sanur. This boutique hotel sits discreetly just one block back from the sea front while having its own beach section with complimentary sun loungers and parasols, right next to a lovely beach bar/restaurant. We took advantage of the hotel's cookery course to learn how to make a delicious Indonesian 3 course lunch and were looked after superbly by our hosts, Bobo, Ferry and Yudi. My apologies to the other lovely members of staff whose names I have forgotten who served us the most amazing breakfast in the morning, the reception staff who would literally do anything to help, the maintenance guy who came in less than 5 minutes to fix a blown fuse and even the gardening team who greeted everyone with a smile while working hard in the searing heat of the day. Plus of course the staff in the spa who provide an incredibly relaxing massage or other wellness treatment in a truly perfect setting. And as for our room... this was an absolute delight to return to at the end of each day, our enormous bed and bathroom with so much space to relax and refresh.

For me, Sudamala was one of the best resorts I have ever been to. The place is flawless. The service is exceptional. With a design which is elegant and gives coziness as well, Sudamala will definitely enrich your vacation experience. The staff is very friendly, everyone speaks english well and is ready to ensure your comfortable stay. The restaurant has a diverse and delicious menu and the spa is a must.

AustraliaThe window in the bathroom didn’t have any glass - just a bamboo blind. There was a glass door separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom but it was a bit hot/humid due to no enclosed window. My friend’s room had a rubber seal around her glass door to stop mosquitos but mine didn’t. I have never seen a hotel where the window was open to the elements. This would be the only thing I would improve.
The resort is beautiful. It’s more like a temple than a resort! The staff are friendly and facilities are great. The perfect spot for a couple or single. The pool area is small and quiet, which is exactly what I wanted - not the hustle and bustle of a big resort with multiple pools and bars. Probably not the spot for little kids/big families as it’s not as close to the centre of Sanur or as ‘fun’ for the kids as a big resort.

Very cultured, clean. They provide free bike. Near to beach, there is cheap and fast laundry kios in front of hotels which is a plusess. In the morning feels like livin in a village.

Our room was fantastic, Balinese style was our wish. The pool area super. The entire design of the property is so well presented and true to Bali, nature and arts incorporated. Breakfasts are delicious, from an a la carte, varied menu. Staff are most helpful, available and friendly.

United KingdomThe staff were very pleasant but few spoke English which is our fault not theirs but we struggled to communicate what we wanted at times. All the staff seemed so young and inexperienced so probably more experienced front of house staff
Lovely place and perfectly located for looking around. We went in the rainy season and everything felt damp, even the bed linen was damp when we arrived and they changed the sheets as there was dry blood from mosquito bites from a previous use. Just not washed fully. The room was very tidy and served our purpose. The food at breakfast was very good. As said above small details
