Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe hotel is absolutely stunning. The food was delicious (yummie smoothie bowls and fresh juices), clean and high equipped rooms, pool and most important the entire staff makes you feel as you stepped into your second home. The manager is a true good soul and helped me tremendously at my first days in Bali. Leaving this place with a greatful heart. Thanks to the entire team. I will for sure come back once I return to Bali.

IndonesiaI don't have any complaints!
We love Elementum, this was our third stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with nice additional touches like the tea and coffee. The food is great and it's excellent value, including for extras (like scooter hire). But mostly the staff are super helpful and very friendly.

NetherlandsDuring our stay there were renovations going on in the hotel. We couldn’t walk normally to the hotel because the whole driveway was being built. The noise was super loud in the morning. The renovations were taking place during the day so we couldn’t relax by the pool or even in the room as there were almost always someone fixing something in the hotel. I understand that hotels needs to go through renovations but when I’m going on vacation i would like to be informed about it
The location was very good and all of the staff were very friendly

GermanyThe hotel is fully packed in a quite small location, unfortunately the rooms are super close to each other and there is no privacy for a honeymoon couple. There were always kids in front of our room, playing in the pool. Even the restaurant is directly looking at the pool, nothing is really separate. Neither the room nor the meal time experiences was good. The restaurant is reserved for people, so hotel guests told to sit at behind row.. I would say this hotel is a pure family hotel, in oppose to its pictures of relaxing vibes. They did put around a nice ambiance for some instagram shootings, but go ahead if that‘s what you are looking for in a hotel. In my opinion, it was not just worth the money, and definitely not suitable for honeymoon.
Everything was clean, free amentities in the room was a nice offer from the hotel

AustraliaGiven that it is Southeast Asia and Bali is a tropical island, there are of course going to be insects of all sorts. However, the bathroom, in particular the shower flooring of The Elementum was not properly cemented or floored accordingly, therefore the wooden panels you are stepping on allows for the many millipedes to come out from the soil on the ground. It would have been better if they had cemented the entire bathroom area to avoid the insects from seeping through - because the insects would make their way into the flooring of the bathroom and they are unavoidable to step on (they also would crawl into the bedroom under the bathroom doors). Just as a note if you are squeemish or have an allergy to insects. The aircon in the room wasn't properly cleaned as well - therefore offering a circulated air of dustmites. Better maintenance overall for the hotel rooms would improve and take the quality to a higher standard, especially as it is a sustainable concept.
Staff and customer service was absolutely phenomenal - the dining was also wonderful! Great location as it's convenient from the nearby restaurants, however best form of transport would be a bike or Grab (it's a good walk away from the main road). There are no TVs in the rooms which is nice - it truly offers a serene and peaceful stay. View from the pool was gorgeous - it's the perfect place to relax with a drink or some food. Love the view of the hotel as soon as you walk in (there is no reception or lobby - the friendly staff hang around the dining area to greet you and be of service at all times). A special mention to Agung, who looked after us during our stay and ensured we had a pleasant time. Agung also organised tickets for us to the Uluwatu temple to witness the Kecak Fire Dance which was convenient! We enjoyed our stay overall and had a great time visiting Uluwatu for the first time.

AustraliaThe property is not very central and in the evening it’s tough to sneak out for a walk as the location seems deserted. Also the bathrooms are outside and the doors are not fixed completely. I had 2 lizards on the roof just above the bed, also had a big cockroach roaming around in the room and the bathroom has a frog. I am not a very reptile friendly person and hence did not have a good nice sleep because of all the insects moving around. I don’t think it is value for money. After staying in other hotels for 8 days, this was the most expensive hotel with the least comfort. The staff was friendly, but I would not wish to stay in this place again.
The property itself is very pretty looking with the ocean view. The rooms are pretty but not very logistically planned.

AustraliaThe WIFI was hit-or-miss on certain days, however it was raining during that period.
We enjoyed our stay - the room was as advertised, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom ran hot water, clean, spacious and practical. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive. The location of the hotel was hard to find at first but other than that it was around a 15 min bike ride from main area.

Canadafalse advertising! the hotel doesn’t have easy beach access. It’s a hike to get to the beach, a good 20-30 mins walk. Bathroom is semi-private. Yes, the bathroom is in your private villa but it’s completely outside with no roof so you get to do your business/shower with the insects while your neighbours hear everything.
Their special chocolate tarte was delicious! Staff is very friendly but doesn’t speak or understand English very well

SpainWe had to leave because our trip was over
We stayed there 5 days at the end of our trip around Indonesia and would repeat again! The hotel is amazing, the service was great and helped us renting the scooter, doing our laundry… It is near Bingin beach, 10 mins walking. There’s also a good restaurant where we enjoyed some cocktails, all breakfasts and had lunch our last day. There are jazz sessions on Wed evenings but we were out. There is also a spa where you can have a massage.
