Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

AustraliaFriendly and helpful staff, we felt very welcome and could not fault our service. We were escorted to our villa with our luggage via a small golf cart type vehicle. Beautiful restaurant Mr Wayan with views and daily breakfast with great coffee and happy hour specials. All of the food was fantastic. The property is well maintained, beautiful grounds and our villa was enormous. We participated in the free rice field trekking tour which was wonderful. Short journey into central Ubud and we took advantage of the airport transfer and daily shuttle services.

United KingdomThey are quite strict about checking out on time (I suppose because they have relatively high demand). So they won’t be able to offer a late check out (even if you pay).
In the month of April I stayed at Wapa di Ume resort. From my arrival I was greeted with the warmest, most wonderful welcome. I was celebrating my birthday and staff had gone to the trouble to get me a welcome platter of fruit on arrival, a welcome drink, as well as a surprise birthday cake!!! The whole lobby erupted in the birthday song for me and I couldn’t be more pleased! The lead Front Desk Manager Denny was so kind and helpful explaining to me the ethos of this long established resort. In addition to the birthday cake, I was also given a room upgrade and a 200K IDR coupon to the spa. I was personally walked to my upgraded suite by Denny and shown how everything works and settled in. Everyday spent here was a joy and I was so pleased to have chosen Wapa di Ume. Staff: all staff are so friendly and will always greet you with a warm and genuine smile, along with a hello at whatever time of day. They know everyone by name and are always at hand to help. Really conveniently, they have front desk/concierge available by WhatsApp messaging (in addition to traditionally calling/ going in person) reply is instant and it really was an absolute game changer for me! Everyone was wonderful but Nina, Lita, Sumastra, Sushuman, Denny and the wonderful house-keepers get a special mention. Cleanliness: the resort is immaculate. My suite was absolutely spotless! Everyday it was refreshed and cleaned to incomparable quality and every evening I was offered a turndown service too. Shared areas are also spotless, down to the crockery and cutlery in the restaurant - everything is gleaming! Amenities/Resort environment: I have never visited a resort like this. But prior to coming to Bali for the first time this is exactly what I’d imagine. The focus of the resort is on wellness and you can tell as soon as you step foot on the grounds! At the entrance there are pools of Koi fish which you can even feed!

FranceThe room could be a bite more cosy, especially those looking over the river in the new extension of the river whose view from the balcony is less magical than the ones in the old section. Would recommend asking to sat in one in that old section.
Relatively a big resort located in the rice fields with very attentive staff, especially as we were travelling with a small baby.

DenmarkI really can not find anything we did not like about this place!
Perfect stay, perfect start on our vacation. Really recommendable for family with a baby. Especially, the rooms with private pool. The room is also so large that you can have the baby napping in one room and sit around in the other if you are not used to the heat yet. Fantastic staff!

United StatesSome of the facilities are understandable old and wearhered from rhe climate. E.g. the sliding doors of our room were sometimes difficultvto close, the regular pool area is nice but a bit older, the Gym has poorly functioning aircon and could use a fixup. Öocation is a bit outside of traffic and there is a shuttle 3x per day but we took mostly cabs. Be aware that because of regular traffic jam, the 10-15 mins ride into town takes typically 30 mins.
The hotel grounds are really nice and it was a wonderful stay!! Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value for price.

The friendly n caring staff, the nice ambience and the beautiful view. We took our elderly mum with us for this family holiday, The hotel layout (within the beautiful paddyfield and bush setting) is quite challenging for her. We discussed with the front desk and they kindly swapped us the next day to a pool villa nearest to the hotel entrance at a discounted upgrade rate. Thank you pak Hendra, pak Sudarsa and other staff members. The restaurant above the reception lobby has nice view. The food are delicious. Special mentions to the friendly staff lead by bu Arik n bu Made. They surprised one of our family member with birthday cake and singing at breakfast time. They paid this special attention when we registered our passports during the check-in. This made our stay more memorable. Thank you Wapa Di Ume.

This stay truly stands out as one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The hotel is situated in an incredibly picturesque area, offering a vibe of a jungle retreat. Our room was located right in the middle of the nature. It felt remote and well connected at the same time as it was located as standalone house. Breakfast was fantastic, with ingredients of very high quality. Every aspect of it was well planned. One of the highlights of our stay was the rice paddy trekking they offered. Also they organise BBQ dinners with local dance, I highly recommend to attend it too. Also shuttle was available to drive us to Ubud center. The infinity pool overlooks the jungle was stunning. And the added activities such as local handicraft making and cake tasting enhanced our experience. The staff went above and beyond, providing service that surpassed any I've encountered before. While officially rated as a 4-star hotel, in my opinion, the quality exceeds expectations, warranting a 5-star one. The quality of everything this hotel was arranging was top (facilities, food, BBQ dinner, transport). I would like to express our gratitude to the dedicated team at Wapa di Ume for creating such unforgettable memories. It is a gem in hospitality.

AustraliaThe hot water wasn’t always hot, sometimes lukewarm. Not a lot to say that we didn’t like.
Wow! Wow! Wow! This beautiful place was recommended for relaxing at the end of your trip, So that was the mind set we went in with. It was such a special place, the staff were so helpful, and compared to our other 3 hotels around Bali, this one had the best service by far, such a warm welcome. There were lovely little extras that made the stay so special. (Free Shuttle to town 4 times a day, fish feeding, porters, turn down, welcome juice and cold fruit, afternoon tea, yoga once a week) We are mid range kind of people, so this was our splurge ( we still got a deal during the wet season) We enjoyed room service and breakfast by the infinity pool, it was nice to not have to walk up to reception. My husband got sick and they took such care of him, got a Dr at 8pm on a big local holiday. (Cost was $283 with some meds and blood tests) they went above and beyond for us and we were so grateful. Gusti Putu Suparsa deserves a special mention, thank you. We were in room 708, next to the infinity pool. We loved it. Tip. It’s a big property, so make sure you contact reception before booking your room to see what would suit your needs. They are very helpful.
