Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBeds could be a little more comfy.
Check in and out was very easy. Hotel had a bar with happy hour. Highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel restaurant. One of the best meals of our trip. The buffet breakfast had a hood selection of food options.

AustraliaThe gravel at the carpark was rough and not paved which made it hard to wheel luggages around.
The close proximity to the information centre was really handy. The hotel itself is well equipped and breakfast was really sumptuous for a continental breakfast.

CanadaThe room was small but the real issue was that everything is old, uninviting, old carpet on the floor, old bed frames, old bedding, old&sinking mattress, definitely did not have a nice feeling of fresh&clean. Bathroom looked somehow renovated but the smell was terrible and persistent. There is a newer building. After reading other people reviews, at the time of booking I specifically asked for a room in the new building. Based on our experience, I am not sure the request was honoured even though I made the reservation several months in advance. Price is high and not justified by what they offer, you mostly pay for the location only.
Excellent location close to glaciers, quiet, very good breakfast, heater in the room working very well

AustraliaWe asked for two 2 bedrooms for 2 couples and had to get one 3 bed room which was quite a lot more expensive. The rooms, even though expensive were quite basic in appearance and 2 single beds, not a double bed as preferred.
We liked the location, it was close to the glacier and the walk behind the hotel was interesting. It was easy to find. We had a lovely dinner at the gourmet restaurant that night and it was very good.

United KingdomThe rooms are very basic, don’t expect much in terms of modern amenities - quite tired decor in the bedroom and bathroom. However, this wouldn’t put us off staying again as everything else far outweighed this!
The location is stunning! Just a short walk away from the glacial tongue. The staff were SO lovely. They helped us get checked in early as we came back from a hike soaked through - I feel awful as I don’t recall the woman’s name, but she had black fair and fair skin. She was fantastic, really made us feel welcome! The FOOD too, amazing. Not cheap but absolutely delicious - really exceeded our expectations! Beautifully presented, it felt like fine dining but with better portions! Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

NetherlandsMaybe a bit sturdier pillows could help.
It's one of the 2 hotels we stayed in Iceland. In that area you don't have too many options. But nevertheless the stay turned out to be perfect stay. We arrived a bit early around 15:00; they let us check-in early. Then we did a short hike to glacier behind the hotel. (It's a must if you have time) The room was good; beds were comfy. Breakfast is one of the best we had in Iceland.
