Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandVery good stay in the Golden Circle. Very close to Gullfoss and other nice atractions. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and quiet. There's restaurant in the hotel. We liked the area around the hotel where we recomment to take a walk.

IndiaClean basic property. Helpful staff. Would be great if they served at least couple of hot dishes for breakfast. Whole hotel was woken up middle of the night by a faulty fire alarm. Which was quite disturbing.

United StatesJust your basic hotel - no character. And nowhere to hang wet bathing suits, towels or damp clothing.
Breakfast was good, Location was great - close to the sights but not in the midst of the crushing crowds at Geysir or Gullfoss

NetherlandsThe overall experience did not meet my expectations for a luxury hotel. I anticipated high-quality accommodations, but unfortunately, the bed was uncomfortable, which detracted from my stay. However, I was disappointed to discover that the hot tub featured in the photos is no longer available. It would be helpful for the hotel to update their listings on booking platforms to reflect this change.
The location was good. The rest of the amenities were satisfactory, and I found the included breakfast to be quite good.

GermanyThe food in the restaurant, like everything in Iceland, is quite overpriced. Unfortunately, there isn't much on the plate for 40 euros, the delicious fried meat, three overcooked potatoes of the size of a cherry tomato, a table spoon of mashed peas, a halved asparagus and something reddish, what looked like beetroot
Great location, nice views, nice breakfast

United StatesDisappointing property--looks like a lower budget hotel but with luxury prices. Limited views from rooms, and nice but not special rooms or baths. Moreover, they are not by Gullfoss, but several kilometers away. Advertising didn't seem accurate.
Check-in was warm and inviting. Breakfast buffet was above average. Staff was considerate to send wine to the room for our anniversary-very thoughtful.

JapanWe had an electric power outage in our room, possibly because of an overload caused by the devices we were using simultaneoulsy in the room (hairdryer, etc). This suggests that the wiring in the hotel might be a liittle old-fashioned. Staff quickly - and cheerily - helped us, so no damage done at all to our stay.
The location - a few minutes by car from the Gullfoss (waterfalls) - was so convenient after a long day's drive. This means also that hotel is isolated on a hillside and that - unless you bring your own food and drink - you are dependent on the hote resturant for evening meal. The choice on the menu was narrow, perhaps because the hotel also caters for large groups of tourists arriving by bus. Having said this, the food and drink were tasty and the staff especially friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was good - a cold buffet, Scandinavian-style. Overall, it was good to spend an evening and night in such a peaceful place and enjoy the fine views over the mountainsides from the room or during an easy stroll outside.

SingaporeThe foldable shower glass doors felt quite makeshift. Would have appreciated separate shower gel, shampoo and conditioner rather than 1 all in one soap.
It was conveniently located to sights like Gullfoss and The Geysir. Decent breakfast.

United StatesI think the value for the money just isn't quite there. It was a nice enough place, but for the price I expected it to be a little fancier. The dinner was very tasty, but overpriced.
The place was clean, and the staff was friendly. I appreciated that they offered an aurora wake up, although only until midnight and they did not see any during that time. I went out about 12:30, and saw them right outside the hotel, so it definitely is a good location for seeing the northern lights with no light pollution around. We had dinner there and it was very good, drinks were good as well. Breakfast was included, which we appreciated.

FinlandThe room was quite expensive compared to our other stays in Iceland, and unfortunately there were no extra facilities available at the hotel to compensate for the price.
Great place to see the northern lights, they even offer a service where they will inform you of visible northern lights until midnight.

United KingdomThe breakfast could have done with some hot food. The evening meal portion size wasn't great considering the price of the food.
The location is good in the golden circle. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Plenty of parking space outside, and we were lucky enough to view the northern lights from the hotel.

United KingdomMould on window sill, broken glass shower gel container, reception staff not the friendliest and this was more noticeable as we had just come from another hotel where the staff were very friendly. But the restaurant waitress was nice. There is no northern lights wake up service but we did see them anyway.
Location very convenient for the Gulfoss falls, and remote area - we saw the northern lights although it was weak but that’s nature! Warm room with nice views. Good dinner.

Germany- cheap furniture in the rooms - room was not vacuumed although lots of dirt on the floor (due to stony area) - bad quality of beds - bathroom / shower was already very used and shabby
- quiet location with good chances to see the Northern Lights - nice lobby with cosy armchairs - free coffee from the cafe if you ask the friendly personnel ;-) - good breakfast (although not so good as expected based on the pictures…)

AustraliaThere where not many dinner options. The first night we decided to stay in for dinner but there wasn't much on the menu and what was on there seemed really expensive. So we didn't end up enjoying a good meal. Breakfast was okay but we missed some bacon and scrambled eggs. Bed was not to comfortable but the baby bed was there and nicely made.
We loved the location so close to several of the main attractions.
