The breakfast buffet was super crowded and a lot of food was not available.

The location in the middle of the forest was incredible. We arrived in the hotel late at night kind of in emergency situation because we had a reservation in Seyðisfjörður but the road was closed because of a snow storm. We were at Vök baths trying to find a last minute room to stay immediately and it was such a relief to find this deal, just 30 minutes away from where we were. The staff was incredibly nice and the hotel is cozy.

bit dated in much of the decor, some interesting updates, but also a lot lacking like toiletries, towels were thin and felt a bit odd at times.

The breakfast staff were cleaning the breakfast away at 9-9.30am (breakfast is meant to be servered until 10am). They had run out of lots of items and then cleared away the rest early. The staff were also quite rude when I was trying to get their attention, to ask which items were safe to eat, as I am unable to eat gluten. A disappointment after the evening buffet and staff being so excellent. The hot tub isn't open in the morning.

We were not informed by the hotel when we booked that the Kol Restaurant would be closed for the winter so we only had a buffet choice for dinner (we knew that was our breakfast option but thought we had a nice option for dinner). Both dinner and breakfast had a lot of choices but most were mediocre.

The location was very good and we would have loved to have had more time to explore the area. The room was clean and comfortable, but dated. They did have a kettle in the room so we could make coffee. The breakfast was good.

the scrambled eggs were very bad. the rest of the "warm" breakfast foods (bacon, sausage, beans,...) were cold. be careful when driving there, many many birds flying low.

A hotel in this price category should have shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. In the reception/lobby/bar area are some sofa tables with multiple cracks and scratches and that unfortunately downgrades the whole area which is otherwise nicely done. It doesn't cost much to buy new sofa tables in Ikea and it would all look and feel a lot better to sit there and enjoy a glass of wine or beer. Our room had a terrace with a view but there were no chairs to sit on outside, it would be so nice to enjoy the view in front of your own room, instead of going to the bar that actually doesn't have a nice view at all. The outside of the hotel doesn't fit the inside at all. I feel the outside needs a renovation and repaint to really reflect the inside and modern rooms better. There were no EV chargers which I would expect for a hotel of this size and also based on its location, 25km away from the next town. Please add them for next summer!

This is an older hotel and I feel they've done a great job with renovating the rooms in this hotel. The rooms are very modern and up to date on what you would expect for a new hotel. Breakfast in the winter garden is very nice so you can enjoy the view and sun (if there is sun). The lobby/reception/bar area has a modern look & feel and there were dice, playing cards etc for guests. Since this is a big hotel it is perfect for bigger groups and families, they also have a big outside hot tub and spa area.

A great place for a reasonable price. The service is beyond praise, as in 5*. Many thanks to the administrator for letting us in at night! Our room was small, but perfectly clean, with everything needable.
