The location was absolutely perfect. Just a short drive from the airport. The sound of the waves crashing and beautiful stars at night.

The biggest problem is one the host had no control over. There was a wild storm our first night, and ocean water flooded the gravel road needed to drive out. The biggest concern was the road would have washed out, in which case we would have been trapped. But someone came, tested the road and said it seemed to be intact. We carefully followed the lead car with water up to the body of our Daccia. After that, we had to park about a block away. The host was very helpful, very concerned, and on top of the situation. She plans to have another road built soon so that there are two exits from the property.

The weather was quite cold, so I was pleased at how quickly the cabin heated up. We were never cold. I also appreciated having the coffee grounds and made coffee several times. The powdered milk was a good addition to the instant oatmeal that I brought for breakfast. There were other cooking supplies as well--oil, sugar, tea, etc. The heated clothing rack in the bathroom helped dry out out towels and clothes. What a great invention! The host Katrin was attentive to our needs. And we loved the little cabin.

Apparently people cannot read the instructions - there is even a washing machine which is great but people do not seem to be able to clean it after use (which is the only thing you are asked to clean yourself).

We love the Ocean Break Cabins - it’s our second stay there and if you check in there, you have all you need; it’s well equipped and taken care off with lovely details.

The trash in the kitchen hasn’t been cleaned up after previous guests. It would be great if there would be extra towels to use after using hot tub.

Not that I didn't like- it's more like an information -I think bunk beds are more suitable(sizewise) for kids

Everything was amazing-location, surroundings, place itself is so charming and cosy, whole layout is clever. Beds very comfortable, easy check in/out, all instructions very clear and the little (big) things like tea, coffee, oil, salt, pepper,spices, shampoo, conditioner,etc - makes a huge difference! Great spot for Aurora -unforgettable experience! Hot tub was a cherry on the top. It's a pity, that we only stayed one night. If we ever come back to Iceland - we would stay here in a heartbeat. Thank you!

The only criticism was the inability to control the heating - it was lovely and warm, but got too warm during the night.

We loved our stay at Ocean Break Cabins. The cabin was warm and cosy and perfectly set up with everything you need. The kitchen in particular was well stocked with appliances and even cooking oil, salt, spices, vinegar. In particular the hot tub was amazing! The location was stunning with views of the crashing waves! Also close to the airport and Keflavic for amenities.

Everything about the property was absolutely AMAZING. Location was quiet and out of a dream, the cottage itself and everything you need and more, it was so well stocked and well equipped. The hot tub was so so so nice and easy to use - shoutout to the hosts who replied to our messages super quickly and helped us with doubts! :)

The floor in the house makes a lot of (squeaky) noise, which is not very pleasant when you stay with more people. And the bunk bed has thin mattresses and is low and under a sloping roof, which is fine for kids, but not very comfortably for adults.

The house was on a good location, near by the airport and the sea. We did see the northern lights by the house. The house has a hottub, which is nice. And the house is cosy and had everything we need for our stay.

The location is perfect for peace and quiet. It was very warm in the cabin despite the -9 and howling winds. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Easy to get to and from the main roads and highways. It is equipped with everything you need if you choose to cook. The hot tub looked inviting but I underestimated my time and did not have the chance to use it😕The host is very quick to respond to any questions you may have. Just a very lovely place.

It would be important to note when booking that the bedrooms are small, especially the room with the bunk beds. It would not be suitable for someone taller than 5ft 5, you would not be able to lie straight

The views out to sea watching the sunset and then the northern lights sitting in our geothermal hot tub provided a perfect end to another wonderful week in Iceland. Don't hesitate to book this place, it was amazing. Only 10 minutes from the airport, ideal if you've just landed or, as in our case, have an early flight.
