Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaThe staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady at check in gave us a map, told us where the main sites are, what route to take, recommended where to eat etc. She also offered to keep our baggage after check out while we strolled around the city on our last day. The place is very clean and comfy, in a quiet neighbourhood, far from the crowds so you get a lot of peace and quiet. The room has a big tv, comfy beds, a good little fridge, the bathroom is spacious. It's only a 15 min walk to San Marco square and only 5 min away from the Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop that takes you to Cimitero San Michele, Murano, Burano, Torcello.

CanadaEverything was wonderful
This is an absolutely perfect hotel! Both this and its brother Hotel Bernardi. The staff is beyond kind, respectful, and super helpful with any requests. The price is extremely unexpensive for the location, which is a 5-minute walk to Rialto Bridge. The facilities were always clean, the bed was super comfy, and the breakfast was decent. I will always come back here whenever I'm in Venice. Thank you for everything At Leonard and Bernardi staff!

United KingdomNothing. Some visitors may find the idea of checking in at one hotel and being taken to another strange, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The main staircase had the strange addition of a chairlift, not sure if it was functional, but again, in a hotel without a lift....
Hotel At Leonard is more of an annexe to another hotel a short walk away. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming, checked us in and walked us round to our hotel. Air conditioning was wonderful (arriving at Venice’s train station and walking on a very hot July afternoon was a sweaty affair). Our rooms were fine, very comfortable, mine more spacious than my daughters. The windows opened on to a quiet alley, shuttered with the heat, so don’t expect a view from the room. Bathroom was well equipped and spacious...NO noisy plumbing you might expect from an older building. The hotel was a very short walk to a small piazza, Campo Dei S Apostolic, with cafes, bars and a gelatteria. As it was Venice, a picturesque canal to be found in all directions from the hotel door. The Grand Canal water bus stop Ca’d’Oro was a few minutes walk from the hotel, giving a direct link to the train station. We walked from the station, and despite the heat, got to the hotel in around 20 minutes. The hotel is well placed to take a walk to Piazza San Marco, or water bus to anywhere! Venice’s main streets, and water buses, are noisy, often crowded and frenetic. The hotel was an oasis of calm, with wonderful air conditioning.

United StatesThe room didn't look quite like the pictures shown- it was much simpler and plainer, which was a small disappointment.
The room was very quiet and in a great location- away from the really touristy area but close to lots of great cafes and restaurants and with easy access to two different water bus stops. The bed was firm and very comfortable, and the room was clean and everything worked great. Staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming- would recommend staying here on this point alone, as they will make every aspect of the stay easy and welcoming. Check in was easy, even though you have to check in at a different hotel nearby- they make finding it very easy and then walk you to your accommodation down the street. Would stay here again!
