Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

I loved the personal care and the welcome and help of Simone and his mother, who provided a beautiful smile and a lovely breakfast during my stay. The B & B is small and private, which is ideal if you are a solo traveller. The location was ideal for a city break and easily accessible for the airport shuttle service. I know why it is always booked during the peak seasons. I would highly recommend Due Passi B & B, if you want to experience Sicilian hospitality at its finest. Thank you very much for having me as a guest, Simone.

Everything was as it should - location - close to the main points by foot but to the bus as well, breakfast, comfortable bed, cleaniness and the most important: very kind and lovely host. Simone makes the atmosphere and his tips are priceless. Thank you!

Everything - The bedroom & bathroom are spotless and kept extremely clean throughout your stay. Rooms are well equipped with everything you might need and, despite being located in the very centre of Palermo, the rooms are fairly quiet also at night. Simone is a very friendly and attentive host and is always happy to assist. Highly recommended!

Location was a cross between South Beach, Florida and Fifth Avenue, NY. The building was very modern and clean and a great location. Our host was very helpful and was there to check us in early. The breakfast was plentiful and he left coffee in our room for our early departure the next day. He arranged the taxi too.

Very well located, the street is quiet with nice restaurants and not in the crowded area. The hotel is nice, very clean and most of all the staff is super friendly 👌 thanks again

The bathroom felt a bit cramped and was not connected to the room (although it was private) which could have been clarified beforehand.
Wonderful host who was very attentive to all questions we could have. We only had a short overnight stay and slept well in a very comfortable bed and with a good breakfast before continuing our travels.

Nothing it was perfect
The location was perfect on a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants close to all the main attractions and shopping strip the host Simon was attentive and always happy to chat and help out with any queries the room was spacious and the only place we stayed in over 10 weeks that had a bar fridge where your drinks were actually cold such a bonus in the hot weather!

The host read our wishes from our eyes and fulfilled them. We are always travelling but I've never had such great service anywhere else. The location is also great. Whether it's shopping or restaurants. You literally just have to go outside the door.

There is nothing that I didn’t like it
Great location, close to the historic part of the city. Good connection with bus. The room was comfortable, nice and most importantly clean. The breakfast was good too. I really liked the croissants.

Just for improvement: the separate toilet was fully operational, but could get even better with a bit of a remodel (eg, replacing the old towel racks).

Located at a pedestrian street with plenty of restaurants and cafés and a walk away from the main areas of Palermo (also well connected by bus). Nice breakfast served by the very owner, a really cool guy always attentive and up for some chat (he even bought some gluten-free muffins for the following day after knowing that my girlfriend is intolerant. The room was clean and comfortable, and the check-in couldn't be more convenient. Totally reccommendable.

We had a toilet outside of the room, so you have to leave the room and open separate toilet with a key, that was a bit challenging, especially during the night.
The location of the room is great ans very close to the city center. Room is clean and spacious, the owner is incredibly helpful and nice.
