Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNice place. Friendly staff. Good amenities spa, pool, pub next door. Close to a train station and bus station to venture around. Convenient stores close by. Rooms smaller than the other places we’ve stayed in Japan. Have to climb over the other person to get out of bed.

United Arab EmiratesPoor check in experience. We arrived 30 mins before check in and staff seemed confused about why we were there. They didn’t do any early passport checks etc (like most other hotels in Japan and globally) so when we went to check in at 3pm there was a large and slow line of people. The air con is centralised so you can’t alter the temperature in the room, we found it very hot and had to leave the window open to get it to a reasonable temperature.
Quiet location, a 200m walk from the nearest train station.

AustraliaThe rooms and bathroom were quite small and it was quite hot in the room as there is no cooling to control.
Check in was very easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The luggage storage under the bed was very useful.

United KingdomA safe would have been useful in a chain hotel like this. In such a small room, they should not have bothered with a desk but instead had some hanging space.
The room was small but was the same size as the bigger double I had stayed in earlier in the week. It was clean. The hotel is reasonably well located and the luggage storage is very useful. The breakfast is particularly a highlight for me.

United KingdomWe paid for the slightly larger double room but it could not have been smaller. We questioned whether we had been given the right room and they said yes, but when we returned to a small double for one night at the end of the trip we were given exactly the same size room. There were no complementary drinks or niceties.
The breakfast was really good and the staff were really helpful in giving food advice as I have allergies. The luggage storage was useful and efficient. The location was not amazing but was good enough as it was near enough to some good areas and really close to the station.

United StatesNo temperature control within the rooms so we had to leave windows open to sleep comfortably at night. Just hot with thick comforters they provide.
Great location right by the train station. Located between Shibuya and Shinjuku. Daily change of towels.

United KingdomThe location was slightly out from the centre but it's okay just 20 mins walk. Wish they had a wardrobe though
The breakfast was very good, nice variety but shame they run out of English breakfast tea on the 2nd day. The spa was a bonus to have and free!

United StatesThe only issue is Hotel’s central heating and cooling system. Rooms have no individual thermostats. The first two nights of my stay were really cold, I had to request additional duvets. It is not so pleasant coming to a cold room after spending all day outside in the low temperatures. Even on-site onsen did not help.
I chose this location for proximity to “LOVE” sculpture since two my tours with Viator started there, only 15 minutes of pleasant walk thru the neighborhood. Although the room was really small it had all the amenities one needed during the stay. And a great view. Not all the staff speak English (and not so friendly, or I should say reserved in conversation) but thankfully to translation app, communications were performed to mutual satisfaction. Breakfast was delicious, for everyone’s taste. Western and Japanese style. The wait staff was amazing. Fantastic miso soup. Great quality of the coffee and teas. Great experience at the onsen on site.

United KingdomThe room are tiny and we had a to put our suitcases underneath the bed. the bed was again the wall so one has to climb over the other to go to the bathroom during the night! There is no a/c, the hotel decides on the temperature so we slept with the window open.
The hotel is clean and well located near a metro line.

South AfricaRoom was small - but well supplied and clean. So not something I didn't like but just for context.
The location of the hotel was fantastic! I was there for the Tokyo marathon and thus it was close to the start (walking distance) as well as close to lots of shops for food and supplies. We also did a Mount Fuji tour on the day after the marathon and the hotel was close to the pick up point for the tour which was very convenient.

United KingdomNot being able to control the temperature in the room, it was too cold when going to bed but the heating kicked in over night and woke up too hot. It's quite a distance from Shinjuku City, not walkable, so not many places to eat in the direct area.
All the staff were friendly, polite, helpful. The facilities were just what we needed and a subway just 1-2 minutes walk away.

United KingdomGreat location, right next the metro station from where you can catch the metro to busy Shinjuku. Comfy bed with space to unpack/repack. Yukata included and access to onsen was smooth. Personable and great check in experience, especially compared to other APA hotels in Japan where its a machine that is prone to problems.
