Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaNothing. But this hotel is just too popular. Sometimes/ almost always crowded in the lobby.
This is a perfect hotel for solo traveler. The room is -- though small -- exceeds my expectation in term of functionality. Super comfy bed, great lighting, excellent wifi, bathroom with high powered shower and futuristic toilet (Japan standard). My kind of hotel..

The location was pretty close to Shinjuku station, and had many dining and drinking option around, the Onsen was a nice bonus after a long day of traveling the city, the room was clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable.

New ZealandCheck in was very complex, was the longest check in out of the several hotels I stayed at in Japan due to a very onerous touch screen, having a person help would have been quicker. I wasn't helped with my bags and given a free drink at check in which was nice but trying to hold a key card, the drink, and two suitcases was awkward in a very narrow reception area. Luggage storage was also difficult you had to scan a QR code for access to the lobby internet to be able to then scan a QR code for storage. Of course you can't scan the QR code for the internet without having internet first. As a tourist running out of data this was a pain and myself and the staff got frustrated trying to do the storage which again would have been quicker withoutt relying on technology. At other hotels in Japan the staff simply did this and it was easier.
Breakfast was tasty but could have used more hot Western options given its in a tourist heavy area Nice cosy pajamas included and bathtub in the room! Good location and view of Tokyo

United StatesIf you aren't into nightlife, you could probably stay in a better room for cheaper in another location in Tokyo. But if you are into nightlife, this is the heart of it and it will be a quick walk back to your hotel. Really a good location but it did feel slightly cramped.
Amazing location for nightlife but I would be hesitant to stay in Kabukicho again. It really is one of the main nightlife locations in the city but it was so gritty and full of life, just be prepared for the area. Friendly staff and that means a lot because in this area, the staff deal with a lot of idiots and rude tourists. They really were friendly and I saw what they had to put up with. Room was very clean.

SerbiaThe biggest problem is that there is no even the small closet where you can put your stuff. Also, the check in is very slow, because you have to do all by yourself with too many informations already provided once making reservation (we were in other hotels with the same type of check in, but it was good organised) and becomes crowdy. It is not something that you need after long travel.

ArgentinaThe room wasn't too quite. The area has a lot of night activity and we could hear people screaming :) But it wasn't that serious, we could sleep very well anyway.
Great location, property looks really nice. Very clean. Like everything in Japan and specially in Tokyo, room was tiny but well organized to fit 2 people. My best advice for traveling in Japan: travel with carry on luggage, you won't regret it.

United KingdomEvery day you receive fresh towels (which is great) but they're delivered in a bag on your door handle and old towels aren't collected so by day 3 (cleaning is every 4th day) you've got atleast 3 days worth of towels piled up in your room which is inconvenient when the bathrooma are so small. Would've been good to check in early but the baggage storage system was okay. Check in was more complicated than other hotels but was fine. It would've been nice to know there was a mixed gender Onsen that you can use with swimwear as we didn't bring any swimsuits but wouldve like to have gone. The fridge easily gets accidentally turned off due to the location of the desk chair.
Wonderful location, about 5 mins out of central Shinjuku so close to the fun but still quiet. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Near 2 train stations so easy to get on the Yamanote line and to central Tokyo/Akihabara area in the South and East. We REALLY enjoyed being able to cast our shows to the TV. This was the only hotel out of 3 to offer this. Great amenities in the room. Nice to have an onsen available. Comfortable bed, the shower room is super efficient on space. It's nice to have a mirror that's warm so you can use it in a steamy bathroom. Nice to have kettle and hairdryer in room. Other amenities like hairbrush, toothbrush etc were nice to have in the room as well. More access to milk would be good. Powdered milk isn't great. Fresh towels everyday! The nicest robes out of 3 hotels as well. Didn't get breakfast but the restaurant underneath the hotel was wonderful. Great Wagyu and friendly service. Great English by all the staff.

NetherlandsThe room as well as the bed felt quite small for 2 people. The room is also a little bit busy with flyers and information stickers.
Hotel in a very convenient location near restaurants, konbini and subway/train. Staff is professional and helpful. We paid a little extra for earlier check-in; it was nice that this was an option. Luggage sending went very smoothly.

PortugalThe room was quite small and the location although central was a bit withdrawn from central Shinjuku (more on the East side where all the night clubs are situated) and from airport connections. Also, with all the APA hotels in the area, discovering the correct place in Shinjuku was challenging.
Practical and convenient hotel, with smart system of check in and check out, with all utilities and services needed for a short stay in Tokyo
