Check-in took longer than necessary as the self-service was not easy to follow, especially for very tired travellers. Staff did their best, but it was a bit hectic. Small reception area also.

Many breakfast foods were cold, and things like fresh fruit or the sign offering to make fresh hot food were hard to see. Onsen was confusing, my wife noticed people not showering before bathing.

The lodging was nice and quiet. Room was well set up. Location was excellent, check in was easy.

The room is on the small side but excellent for one person. There was plenty of room under the bed to store my luggage. Nothing to complain about, really. I'll certainly consider staying here again next time I visit Tokyo.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean hotel room. There were plenty of amenities (the onsen was really clean and modern) and you could request for daily cleaning if needed. Amazing location (1 min away from the heart of Shinjuku) with plenty of options to eat and entertainment. After a few days at a hostel nearby, this hotel was everything I needed as a solo traveller.

After spending 9 nights at the hotel, we wish the hotel could have given us a free extended check out time of 1-2 hours (Rather than having us to pay a small fee) while waiting for our train to airport.

Room was clean and has a good view. Location as convenient. Staff we met were all friendly.

This was of no fault to the hotel itself, but in hindsight the location wasn’t great in terms of being close to a station to access trains/metros. Tokyo is huge so you’ll need to grab the train to go most places, so being 15ish minutes away from one got a bit tiring - wasn’t something I took into consideration before booking so definitely something worth noting! Also, the hotel is situated in Kabukicho (adult entertainment area), but I would say your far enough from the intensity of it to not let it bother you.

The room wasn’t huge, but it was incredibly cozy. The bed was really comfortable and ended up having the best nights sleep. Japan is known for convenience, and this hotel didn’t disappoint with that! Although they only clean rooms every 3 days, they provide a bag of fresh towels and toiletries daily (which they hang on a hook at your door). Check in was easy, check out was even easier. Didn’t know what to expect but very happy with the hotel choice.

Room is just a little too small, great for one person but two it’s like your on top of each other the entire time, the toilet is too close to the wall in the shower you have to sit at an angle I’m only 5’7 175 pounds pretty average guy not tall or big

I liked the location and it was nice and clean, I like that I was able to do a late check in till 1 PM it cost extra but I think it’s worth it

Check in procedure was rather frustrating. There are computers so guests can self check in, but all guests needed assistance at one point or another. We stayed there 2 separate times (beginning and end of trip), and had issues each time. Luggage minding service is somewhat chaotic.

Room was clean, but very small. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Great view over Shinjuku from upper floors. Good buffet breakfast.

The location wasn't the best for where I wanted to go (however, that's my bad for not researching more).

I loved that I had everything I needed in a compact space. I appreciated all of the information available on the TV that I could easily go to if I needed to refer back to something. I felt safe with the card-access elevators. I also had a great city view like I requested!

There wasn't much to dislike. The room was a little pokey, but pretty typical for budget Tokyo hotels.

APA Hotels are always good value. They address exactly what you need and expect. The rooms are always clean and well appointed and the locations are very handy.
