Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

France- no charm => this is industrial hotel . But we were there to visit Tokyo so basically the room is only to go to sleep ; ) - when we entered the room it was at 15 degrees Celsius (on January) !! Heat works perfectly well ; ) - the room and bathroom are very small… don’t come with huge suitcases - automatic checkin at 3 pm … so little contact with the staff
- great localisation in shinkunsu area near karaokes - nice price - convenient

GreeceKabukicho is not a great area. A lot of garbage everywhere, porn shops and touristic traps. Though Shinjuku and golden gai is in walking distances. The onsen in the hotel does not accept tattoos.
The facilities are great, clean and equipped rooms and an onsen (not accepting tattoos). No kitchen and no common lounge. A bit expensive but offers a great location with a walking distance from downtown Shinjuku.

IrelandIt's close enough to transport, but not too close... 10-15 minutes walk to the station. The neighborhood is a little bit dodgy, but ultimately safe.
Amazing breakfast. Nice public onsen available to the guests. Great view of the city from room on the top floor. Modern room with bath tub. Great porn selection on the TV for free. Lost and found works: staff was able to retrieve my glasses I forgot in the room 2 days after checkout.

SlovakiaWe were assigned a room where the view from the window was directly into a wall - this caused a feeling of not having a window at all.
Small, but well-equipped clean room. Good interesting breakfast. Good location directly in the Shinjuku area.

SingaporeLocation is not near the station especially if you are taking JR lines. Probably 20 minutes walk from hotel. Room size is really small, no space for 2 big luggages to be fully opened and had to stored the luggages under the bed.
Smooth check in process, there is a small onsen in the building as well.

United StatesThere's no real way to opt out of housekeeping, if you put the little sign up they give you a massive plastic bag full of things individually wrapped in plastic every day, not super eco friendly as a lot of that gets burnt in Tokyo. Would be fine with just fresh towels and sheets on request. Would be nice if there was a little luggage space, maybe a dresser instead of the desk or drawers under the bed, but 2 of us made it work. TV turns on automatically every time you enter the room with volume, even if you muted it last time you turned it off, but not a big deal.
Absolutely great, good location, nice grand bath/public spa, room was clean (tiny but that's everywhere in Japan), staff was friendly and helpful. Shower was hot and really easy to get to the exact temp you want. Fun location if you're cool with everything that's going on in Kabukicho, otherwise there's another APA for the same price next to Gyoen park. Short walk to Golden Gai bars. Awesome to have all of the hotel info on the TV. Fast wifi with dedicated connection for each room.

CyprusBreakfast was expensive (there were plenty of cheaper options around the hotel) and rooms were very small without a wardrobe or shelves to store clothes. Rooms are being cleaned on every third day of your stay. They are not flexible with late check-out.
Value for money and good location. The hotel also had a public bath which was clean, nice and relaxing after a day in the city.

Hong KongThe room wasn’t tidied up the next day, which is fine when you don’t stay for long. Instead they leave a plastic bag at the door for extra toiletries, coffee.
Convenient! A few minutes walk to the station (Higashi-Shinjuku) and not far from all the small bars around. The bedroom was small but the bed was comfortable. Everything was fine except for the use of plastic. On the ++ side, it has an onsen too.
