Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeAs usual for a chain Japanese hotel, the rooms are small. The pillows could be better though, and softer. They were rather hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
Hotel was in a great location in Shinjuku, close to the Metro Stations.

NetherlandsThe rooms are small, if you are travelling solo they should be ok but as a couple there is not enough room. Our room for some reason the AC had to be rebooted every evening so it would start cooling down. That was annoying.
Location was perfect, close to Shinjuku, the korean neighborhood, 10 min walking distance from 2 metro stations. The onsen/spa was great, its big and clean.

ChinaThe staff upon check-in were efficient enough but were not friendly at all. They seemed impatient and rushed. More staff is needed. Only one sachet of coffee, one coffee creamer and one sugar was provided each day - which is half a cup so this seemed poor. Some people may not like that the room is not cleaned daily, although I liked the lack of intrusion.
The room was very quiet and the bed comfortable so I slept very well. The spa was also quiet and included in the price which was good. The hotel is close to a metro stop and fairly close to the Shinjuku station. Provision of appropriate attire to wear when going down to the spa. The TV had some foreign films to choose from.

United StatesBe forewarned that the room can small (by non Japanese standards). Our room was smaller than an inside cruise ship room. The toilet had to be carefully navigated. :-)
Wonderful facility with great helpful staff. The in-house restaurant was exceptional.

Germany- Rooms were really small, despite being able to put some luggage below the bed, my main bag didn't actually fit so it had to remain in front of the room door, depending on how many bags you have and the size this might affect the experience - Bathrooms are also very small and sometimes had a slight strange smell probably due to only relying on non nantural ventilation
- Location is fantastic and close enough to walk to nearest train stations. - Hotel feels like a centralized hub for many things of interest, tv guide shows everything thay the hotel has to offer such as restaurant offerings, public spa, videos on demand, hotel services and many more) - Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable - Rooms had basically all the basic amenities that you might need in your stay - Overall APA chains are everywhere and they really know their business very well so in terms of reliance is a good choice of staying with decent price points

The hotel room and the hotel itself was clean, the staff was friendly, everything was fine, only the room size was small, but I think that's normal for Japanese standards

United KingdomThe hotel was lovely and clean. Good location about 15 minutes walk from Shinjuku JR station. Rooms were quite small but very thoughtfully laid out. Housekeeping every day. We stayed on quite a high floor, I cant remember which one and the view was fab. No noise at all from outside. Beds were super comfy. I'll definitely come again.

MexicoIs not something bad and somehow I was a bit aware about it , but still I think is important for other people to know that the rooms with doble beds are very small
Great location, you are a few blocks away from a very busy area with restaurants, attractions, etc but it remains quiet. Is clean and although the rooms are extremely small you have everything you need inside

United KingdomThe check in process! I have stayed in a total of 5 hotels so far on my trip to Japan and this was the worst. All the other hotels had a person to check you in, checking the reservation, photocopying the passports, issuing room keys and giving basic info etc. All of this took just a few minutes. The APA group use automated check in with people on hand if needed… I needed! The whole process, despite help, still took nearly 20 minutes using an automated check in device! Ridiculous, go back to humans checking you in!!
The bed was very comfortable and king sized (5ft), which was great considering the size of the room.

IrelandThe room was extremely small for two people, and the window couldn’t be opened, making it difficult to breathe. We were forced to keep the air conditioning on constantly, which resulted in both of us catching colds and developing coughs.
We appreciated the provided yukata and accessories in the room, the convenient location, and the excellent shower pressure. The automatic check-out process was a plus, and the complimentary umbrellas during rainy weather were a thoughtful touch.

NetherlandsThe small room size although it was not a surprise to us as we knew from the room description. It can get a bit tight especially if someone is travelling with a big suitcase. Luckily for us this was not such an issue.
The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the bed is also very comfortable! Surprisingly, it was also very quiet and we heard no noise so we could easily get some good rest after a long day of walking through Tokyo
