Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThe room has everything that we needed - comfy bed, desk, space to store our luggage. Bathroom seemed so small but inside was everything necessary and using it was very comfortable. And the breakfasts at Denny's!!! There were simply the best <3 Staff was also very helpful, although they could use some Yamato-related training, as three different staff members that we asked told us very different things regarding how to use this extreamly helpful service.

AustraliaThe room and bathroom is a little small for a couple with 3 suitcases.
The property was very well located and offered good value for money. The stores and public transport stations were very closely located, which made it easy to get around. Our bed had space underneath that we could use to put our suitcases underneath. There was also on-site laundromat that we could use. It was interesting to see the TV that could tell you in real time when the laundromat would be available, and it was great to be provided some free shows to watch. The amenities provided in the hotel room was also good! The staff replenished them whenever we used them.

New CaledoniaNothing was bad.
I think we've never been disappointed when we stayed in a APA hotel... This place is clean, staff speaks English, everything is easy and accessible : ice dispenser, micro wave, mini fridge in the room, lots of amenities, free luggage storage available after check-out, plugs and USB port in the room, you name it, it is in APA hotels... The lack of Onsen on this particular is not even an issue...so many things to do and see around by walking or using public transport.

SloveniaThe room was very small for 2 people but it was nice to have storage for luggage under the bed.
We liked the location of the hotel. There are a lot convenience stores nearby, drug stores, places to eat and also metro station. We also liked the media entertainment in the room and great WiFi.

United StatesThe room was really small, which is to be expected. We were able to manage with just the two of us, but it took a lot of maneuvering. And then we had to borrow an iron from the front desk, and when we tried to use it, it just didn't work as well as the ones in the States.
The hotel was really nice! The staff was great and the hotel had amenities like a coin washer and dryer so we were able to clean our clothes during our two week stay. And the hotel was just outside of the super busy area, so it was nice and quiet. I would stay again, for sure.

PortugalThe room is quite small (but this seems to be a standard in almost all 3 star hotels we stayed in Japan) but at least there was space to place our luggage below the bed. Breakfast is at a Denis restaurant with a set menu with very limited choice (basically you should combine 1 option A: scrambled vs fried egg with sausage and salad + 1 Option B: French toast, bread, drilled cheese, pancake + a tasteless pudim. Since we stayed for 5 days we really couldn't eat it no longer.
Excellent location, close to two lines of metro, one of each also connected to JR line. Albeit there where no attractions from our itinerary nearby the transport options compensated it and made our lives pretty easy! Staff was very friendly. Ammenities and clean towels were provided daily

United KingdomThere was a little confusion over the location, as there are two APA hotels quite close together. The breakfast was ok, but it's at Denny's American Diner down the road, would prefer a Japanese breakfast.
The room was very clean and comfortable, whilst it was quite compact, the layout was very well thought out and there was a place for everything. The universal plugs were also a great facility and it was all very clean. It's about 20 minute walk from Tokyo Station, but close to several metro lines that can make the journey quicker.

AustraliaMinor issue that it was a little hard to find due to English spelling and 2 APA hotel branches in that suburb. Rooms were bit small but had excellent amenities.
Close to attractions (2 stations from Akihabara?) yet in a quiet and convenient location. Nice value facilities that's excellent value. Friendly staff. Nil complaints.

NetherlandsRooms are small, minimal facilities in the rest of the hotel. Tv has only bbc world as international Channel, that should be done better. Price was very high (some 200 US a night) at the time of stay (end March, start April).
Very good location, close to Tokyo central station. The APA formula is efficient and the small rooms are very cleverly designed. Very clean, everything works well. Very good wifi. Breakfast is across the street in a separate place. Works well, but takes a bit more time.
