United StatesThe room was clean enough, but I still saw places in the bathroom that were not as clean. I also dislike that there is only one elevator and the stairs are only for emergencies - I ended up waiting on the 2nd floor for 15 mins because the elevators were full 3 times I tried! I wish I could have just walked down the stairs... Also, the washing machine situation can be annoying because there are only 2 and people can end up hogging the machines for a long time.
I always enjoy staying at this APA location in Kuramae. I've stayed 6 or 7 times now and it's always easy to check in, has many convenience stores around to get what you need, and the subway is right underneath the hotel so it's very convenient to reach. I also love that it's on the Asakusa line that goes straight to Haneda airport. I also am thankful they will hold your luggage for you before you check in and after you check out!

The location was really good: close to a train line. The train line was also easily accessible to Narita International Airport. No need to book a Narita Express - if the traveller has a limited budget. There were several convenience stores and restaurant chains near the hotel for dining options. The hotel is also near the Sumida River for a scenic walk.

CanadaI am not sure if it is Japanese custom to charge for early check in even though the room was ready for occupancy. 2000 yen for each hour of early check in is ridiculous and expensive. Check out time of 10 am is too early. Most countries have it at 12 noon. To ask for additional 2000 yen for each additional hour after 10 am is also ridiculous. All the advantage is with the hotel.

JapanI didn't like how the room was set up. It's a small room. The bed is right next to the wall, so the other person has to climb over to get to his side of the bed.
The location is great. There are food places around and even a 24-hour convenience store right next to it. Train station is just across the street.

I was frustrated that the booking and website said breakfast was on site and a "Western breakfast". I specifically chose the hotel for this reason. This was not the case. Breakfast was at a cafe 100m down road and consisted of a choice of 5 buns with lunch type fillings - not at all a western breakfast.
