Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom was a bit small but had everything you need.
Steps away from the subway and convenience stores. View was great and staff were great too. Can do laundry for a cheap price too.

SerbiaThe only downside was breakfast selection and small portions.
The public transportation is excellent. It has direct line to Haneda Airport. Metro station is right across the street, and you can go to pretty much every part of the city.

CanadaNothing! It was great!
The room, although small, was very clean and well-equipped with a desk, fridge and kettle. Fresh towels and supplies were left at my door daily. The room's heating and cooling was very responsive. My room was very bright, with two windows and a nice view. The bed and quilt were the comfiest I have ever slept in at any hotel or at home! Bliss! The staff were lovely. The location was excellent - quiet, but right next to Kuramae station, with easy access from there to Asakusa and the Ginza line for the airports, Shibuya, Ueno and other places. Short walking distance to many kombini, cafes and restaurants, and near the river. Lots of sights like Senso-ji shrine nearby. I would definitely stay here again. I loved the 9 days I spent here, and I never lacked things to do.

SwedenI don’t recommend to take the breakfast. This is no inside the hotel. You need to go to a small one cafe. With only 10 chairs, wait for the service and to choose the same menu every day. The open only about 7:00 and on Sunday about:10.00 . You can find better places very close the hotel.
The location.

AustraliaThe hallway was semi open air and cold in winter. The toilet was blocked at 1am and the staff offered us a new room on different floor. But insisted that we move everything out right away. The alternative was to use the public toilets on the ground floor and switch room in the morning. Maybe this is just the Japanese way but very inflexible.

GermanyWhat we didn't know when we booked our stay but wished we knew beforehand: Toshio Montoya, the owner of the APA Hotel chain, is a well-known right-wing conspiracy nut with a penchant for antisemitism and historical revisionism (such as the denial of Japanese WW II atrocities like the Nanking massacre). So be prepared for weird pamphlets written by the boss himself lying around in your room... If this does not bother you, go ahead, it certainly is not the employees' fault who all did a great job.
The Asakusa Kuramae Ekimae APA Hotel offers a comfortable stay at a great value for money. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the service and state of the rooms is as exceptional as you would expect from a hotel of this category.

We had stayed prior to this at a different APA hotel and were looking for a last minute reservation two days prior to this that wasn't really expensive. APA came through with very reasonable pricing, especially under last minute circumstances. Check-in was very easy and our room was comfortable. We really love the ability to cast to the TVs from our phones and control what we watch. This hotel had a very cool amenity in the lobby, which was like a self-service convenience store where you could ring up and check-out your own snacks (note they aren't free, you do have to ring yourself up and buy them, foreign credits cards largely accepted) There was also a small paper crane left in our room when we checked in, which we found very cute. Very close to public transit like the subway, convenient location. Totally recommend!

JapanMicrowave, etc is at the ground floor only. ちょっとめんどくさい。
The hotel is near the station though we were confused at first coz there are other APA hotels in the vicinity. We went to two other APA hotels first before we had seen our actual booked hotel 😆 But overall, our stay is okay, breakfast is good and the hotel is clean and comfy to stay at.
