Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe rooms are quite small but that is mentioned in the description and not uncommon. If that is an important point you should check each hotel carefully.
We needed to extend our stay because of a typhoon warning. The staff was super helpful and arranged for us to stay in the same room. Personally I loved the location. While it wasn’t far away from Akihabara electronic town, the hotel is still located in a quieter area.

JapanThere is only one lift. You need to wait for a few minutes each time. This is only negative point I found.
Good and convenient location with reasonable cost. The room is small but they make the most of it and have everything you need.

CanadaGood value. Close to Akihabara station walking. The neighbourhood is cosy and feels safe. They gave me the room I wanted even though I booked at last minute. Room tiny, but Aircon worked, I slept well. Quiet, clean. More surfaces for my stuff than most, lots of hooks! The fridge was bigger than more expensive hotels in area, and the bits inside were not broken. Staff very nice.

DenmarkThe hotel is good, There are only small inconveniences. There is no washing machine in the hotel and the nearby laundromat is a little inconvenient. The is a small store but no real breakfast options. Usually APA hotels have a vending machine with beer and alcohol but you could not buy beer at all.
Its a nice hotel and located very close to Akihabara station. The staff is so nice and speaks English really well which is not usual for Japan. They also have an HDMI port in the bed frame for connecting to the tv, which i thought was cool. (At least in my room) There are also a lot of restaurants nearby.

United StatesThe hallways were warm during the day due to the open roof, but other than that there is nothing I didn't like here.
This hotel is close enough to walk around Akiba but far enough from the noise of the trains and cars. I will stay here again when I go back to Tokyo. The staff was excellent and even took care of shipping our luggage!

United StatesThe rooms are small but have all of the amenities you could want! The staff is super friendly, helpful, and kind to foreigners. Each day there were fresh towels, robes, and refreshments, and the location is ideal—very close to the station. Lots of great restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so the neighbourhood is very walkable for all your needs!

Czech RepublicBreakfast was a voucher for a sandwich and a cup of soup at a chain cafe across the river. It was much lower quality than the food offered at other APA hotels I've stayed in, and I would have reconsidered my booking if I'd realised.
The staff were excellent, and very helpful.

SwitzerlandThe view is a bit hit or miss and I did not see any options to choose from on booking. You might get a good view of the neighborhood, but you might also just face another wall of the building right next to it.
Had some short stays at this hotel on various occasions, it is perfect to stay a couple of days in Tokyo. Very good location near Akihabara station. Small but very functional rooms as you are used to from any APA hotel.

AustraliaCan't really say much if anything. I can see some people complaining about small room. But that's typical Japan and you get what you pay for.
Typical APA type of hotel. Very clean, up to date feels like they have recently refurbish the building. About 150m from Akihabara station, 70m from H line i forget what it was called.
