We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaWe didn't have breakfast. We paid for breakfast in one day, but it didn't worth it. There are options near the hotel, including small shops like 7eleven or a very good coffee shop (Verve) in which you can take your breakfast at good prices.
Everything is very well organised. Is close to everything even by foot. We walk to Ginza in about one hour.

AustraliaA very small room, no room to open a suitcase. Bathroom very small, a large man would struggle. Pillows rock hard(consistent in Japan). Staff English was very basic. Strange system for fresh towels(we were confused). Had to climb over each other to get out of bed.
Clean, bed is comfy, has in room coffee/tea & kettle. Great location, has onsen upstairs with yakatas provided. The tV has an English speaking station.

JapanThe system of this hotel is quite different from usual set-up. The payment method online didnt matched the processed when we arrived there. Since it is a bit digital transaction with language barrier on the payment method during check-in, we take 15 min to 20 min on the process. Good thing that we have Japanese interpreter to clear the issue. The tenin or attendant have strong accent (since his japanese), so that it is not that “friendly” tone when we raised our concern that time. But since, we have support from locals, we solved the issue peacefully. The Public bath Area (which located in rooftop, 19th floor i think), it is not widely enough to compare with other APA hotel we visited. Not widely enough, since this is one of the main branch in the city, it cater more visitors. The reason why the area is quite crowded when 15people go to take a bath at the same time. The slipper area are also gocha gocha ゴチャゴチャ or scattered since it is used by foreigners, the senmendai 洗面台 or sink are not that clean since it is used frequently and dont expect the room is wide enough to compare to other branch. Other thing is the laundry area and the ice dispenser area are not well maintained. For the smoking area, people only have one access to first floor. And mostly, it is crowded as well. We noticed that the crowded time of the following areas provided. Reception Area 15:00 - 16:00 for check in Bath area and smoking area 21:00- 23:00 Elevator use 9:20 -10:00 for check out Reception Area 9:45 -10:00 for check out Hope this observation helps.
It is accessible to “most” tourist spot in Roppongi 六本木。 45min walk from Shibuya and accessible thru train. It is also quiet in every floor and it has accommodating environment.

Hong KongThis APA Hotel is a nightmare wrapped in a convenient location. The staff are blatantly rude, with English skills so abysmal they might as well not speak at all. The rooms are claustrophobic boxes, barely clean, straight out of a dystopian horror film like ‘Escape Plan,’ only worse. The invasion of privacy is egregious - staff barge into your room unannounced and uninvited. The lobby is essentially a marketplace for sex workers, turning what should be a sanctuary into a seedy den. This place is a stain on Japan’s reputation for hospitality, utterly deplorable. Avoid at all costs!
