It took a bit of walking (8-15min) to the next train station. This might be inconvenient if you come with heavy luggage. Otherwise I still liked the location.

I really liked how clean everything was. In addition you had free facilities like onsen and the small swimming pool on the roof. Check in was very easy and the lobby is very beautiful.

This is not so much a comment on the hotel as the people staying there. The Japanese-style bath on the 18th floor is absolutely wonderful but some of the women using the facilities left garbage and they're used towels on the floor and just left. It was so sad because when I've stayed at this hotel before people were clean respectful travelers but this time the etiquette of tourists was questionable.

Relatively easy check in because you are using a machine and don't have to wait in a long line. That said, when I checked in there many non-Japanese tourists checking in and many were having problems with the machine check in so there was an unfortunate back log of people waiting in the lobby.

APA Hotel is a chain you can find everywhere in Japan. Actually their standard is high, (I really appreciated the common bath "sento"), but be careful cause you pay for everything (swimming pool, check in in advance or delayed check out), and as always in Japan, room is too small to open two suitcases. About the area I disliked Roppongi: it's too posh and expensive, far from the main touristic attractions.

The location is fair when you walk to the subway station without luggages, but the pavement from the hotel to the Roppongi station is not friendly for suitcase. IT worth point out that there is NO escalator or elevator at the exit #5 or #3 of Roppongi station, which makes it extremely difficult for girls to travel via subway with large suitcase. BESIDES, when I arrived at the hotel around 10:30am, it was way too early to check in, but I was too tired to go outside since I had been traveling the whole night. The only thing I could do was to stay in the lobby and wait for 5 hours!! I understand it is the policy of the hotel, but can not the hot be a little flexible and considerate since the room had already been available, considering that the check-out time is no later than 10:00am? Not a very friendly way to treat foreign travelers, do you think ? It is a terrible experience

Great location, awesome view of Tokyo Tower as you step out the front door of the hotel. The room is small but very comfortable, clean and Apa provided all the amenities one could need. They have a great rooftop pool!

Conveniently situated near the train station, shops, gym and local coffee shop or restaurants. Was not able to try their public bathroom nor the pool… but the bathtub in our room was enough to rejuvenate your body after a quick soak. The staff was not so good in English, and yet they are very welcoming to everyone.

Every thing is perfect, although as a westerner, you may be surprised by the size of the rooms. There are windows and the rooms are designed in the most efficient manner

I don’t think you can find better value for your budget in Tokyo (summer 2023). I’ve paid almost twice the price at lower quality hotel the week prior and couldn’t even find similar rates on Airbnb

Air conditioner wasn’t working and took a few call to the front desk to get working. When I checked in lobby was chaotic as too many people were checking in at same time and there was no order to how to process people.

Location is excellent. Roof top Japanese bath is luxurious and adds an extra layer of decadence to a small room Japanese business hotel.

The automated check-in process was not convenient and took longer than expected - some going back between automated machine and staff. Staff did not speak much English. Hotel did not feel personable. I guess that is normal for big hotels.

Location was convenient - next door to Family Mart, a few min walk from train stations and bus stations. Room was small which is typical for Tokyo, but clean. Technology in the room was good and all worked seamlessly - from the status of the washing machine to the controls of the lights and AC.

APA Resorts is always a pleasure to enjoy. The quality and good management of the space is excellent. The VOD movies were free at that period. Aircon quality is above average, it is a plus for those typically allergic The cafe up the street is just amazing

I would have liked 2 towels per day, one for the room shower/bath and one for the Onsen. I would prefer to have a towel available inside the Onsen rather than carry the only bath towel from the room. The Onsen is beautiful and relaxing with the 3 different options. The volume did not work on the TV for the Free On Demand movies so I never bothered to watch any programs. There were too few laundry machines and they were in use most of the time. The room became very hot and uncomfortable so either an a/c system or another laundry room or they be relocated to a different area of the hotel. The two in one washer/dryer is an excellent concept however my clothes remained very damp after a 2 hour cycle.

I chose not to partake in the breakfast. The hotel lobby is stunningly beautiful. The location was central and not too far away from Rappongi train station. The room accommodations/space was just right for one person. The shampoo, conditioner and body soap were nice quality and I was not expecting and hygiene products such as toothbrush/paste, shaver, hair tie, cotton pad and q-tip to be provided. The full size kettle was convenient however the instant coffee was not good. The TV menu with updates and hotel as well as local information was helpful; especially the updates when the Onsen or laundry was busy or unavailable.
