Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI understand that the hotel is running as efficiently as possible to reduce operational costs, but having paper cups in plastic bags instead of glasses and mugs for drinks somehow cheapens the experience.
The Japanese style bath on the 18th floor is amazing. For a business hotel in the middle of Tokyo, the large baths transport you to a traditional inn in the countryside and you feel like you are wrapped in a luxurious hotel.

FinlandIt was really cold in the room and in the corridor. The aircondition gave only cool air and I had to keep it off but I was still freezing. I was staying under the blanket to keep myself warm. The train station exit with an elevator is a bit far from the hotel (I think the exit/entry was in in Tokyo Midtown, maybe exit 8). Closest exit to the hotel is exit 5 but without lift.
The room was small but nice for a solo traveller. The check-out is at 10 (which is too early) but you can buy more hours just by clicking from the tv screen late check-out option; it cost 1000 yen/hour. Room was quiet and I slept well. Room has a small fridge so you can place water and food in.

Malaysiaroom is tiny but then i understand most hotel rooms in Tokyo are 😁
excellent location with several cafes & restaurants around and a convenience store (Lawson) practically next to hotel. it is also about 10-minute walk to Roppongi train station. this hotel is in Roppongi area which is not far from Shibuya (about 4 km, 15-20 mins by taxi). excellent inhouse public bath that opens until 2 am! extremely comfortable bed, super efficient shower & toilet, aircon & wifi. TV has free movies! it also has coin-operated laundry which is always a big plus point for travelers! check-in & out is fuss-free and automated/self service (there were hotel staff on standby to assist). very efficient elevator.

United KingdomThe room I got was internal, so my window was facing the inside of the building, which was depressing. The price could include a simple breakfast to make it value for money.

JapanCheck-in was on a machine that doesn't take a foreign card that I have been using in Japan for 4 years. Weird. I think they should just do traditional check-in. It's a hassle typing in all your information all over.
Location was near restaurants and cafes. You could walk to two stations within 10 minutes or so. There was a free onsen, but I did not use it. Wi-Fi was good enough for work and streaming.

I liked the cleanliness of the room. Although it wasn't serviced everyday, there was no need as was out most of the day and they supplied new towels and toiletries everyday.

GermanyThe connection to the Narita airport is not so convenient, but it was my own fault, not choosing a place near Tokyo station, for example, and Japanese transportation organization is not very optimal for it either, being rather complicated to purchase the ticket and get to the right airport train. The breakfast was not as good as in APA Osaka, smaller buffet offerings and restaurant.
A good location near metro station. Comfortable & clean, helpful staff. APA hotels are reliably good.

AustraliaGreat location, a couple minutes walk from Roppongi subway station. Classic APA fare for breakfast - plenty of Japanese and Western style food to choose from. Helpful staff for those who can't speak a lot of Japanese. Good TV system with Youtube AirPlay, Japanese television and on demand movies (which were free at the time of my stay). Clean, small room but as expected for this type of hotel and price. Comfortable bed, but if you're a fan of big fluffy pillows you'd best bring your own. Pool wasn't operational during my stay in April. Public bath was an unexpected bonus as I didn't see it listed during booking. No complaints

United StatesThe space between the bed and desk are tight. Most of the spa stuff they have available aren't made for western sizes (feet, height, etc.)
Location was perfectly located between the bar scene of Roppongi and the embassies. Incredible coffee shops and cafes nearby yet just far enough away from the touts. If you're western, you will most likely run into them going to the train but if you detour a bit, you can avoid them.

United StatesThe heating turned on in the middle of the night. During the day the hotel was set to AC but it switched over it seems in the middle of the night and I woke up sweating and realized what happened. Luckily I was able to turn it off and open the window to get some air in the room.
I am a fan of APA properties. They are consistent with their bedroom and bathroom amenities. I did not partake in breakfast at this property but I know they are good. I like they have multiple self-check in stations but still have humans around to provide assistance when needed. IT was a quick walk to Roppongi station and in the middle of a ton of nightlife and restaurants. The room was clean and bigger than expected. APA has my money TBH.
