Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe A/C in room is above bed and blows air directly to bed, so I had to use the comforter to cover me all nights to block the cold air in hot summer nights.
The location is very good for me to take subways or trains, and is close to places where I want to visit by foot. The room is tiny but is good enough for a single to stay, and is very clean.

United KingdomHouse keeping is not everyday, it only happens if you are staying for 3 nights or above. And the bed might be too small for tall and huge people.
The check in procedure was done on a machine assisted by a front desk staff, it was fast and easy. The room is small but it is how Tokyo is like, a reasonable size for the price we paid for. Everything a standard hotel room should have is included, they even managed to fit in a mini bath tub in that tiny bathroom. The cleanliness level is exceptional, the room is spotless, not even a tiny hair. The air conditioner is functioning too well that we have to ask for an extra blanket from the front dest in the second morning. Since this is the last stop before going back to my country, I have to weight my luggage to ensure they are not over-weighted, all I need to do is just take my luggage to the front dest and they could lend me the scale. In general this is a wonderful stay.

Switzerlandİf you book through booking.com., they will not do your room on the daily basis which might be not the best if you are paying almost 60 bucks per night.
The location is good enough for commuting through the Tokyo. Also, there are many places to eat Japanese street food.

SwedenThe location was perfect (three nights in Tokyo), we could walk to any place of interest or take the JR lines. The room was a standard double room, as usual with the APA hotels the room was small but it was ok anyway since we could store our luggage under the bed.

ThailandThese rooms are perfect for one person, but really much too small for two people. If you are traveling as two people, you'll be better off getting separate rooms.
The staff was excellent. Especially Miss Sukisa, who was super helpful with every enquiry or request we had. She really made our stay as good as it was. All of the other front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful, but Miss Sukisa is a front desk superstar.

GermanyBed was comfortable but I had the feeling like it was a bit "sloping", like as I lay on my side I felt like I was going downhill a bit.
We stayed there for 4 nights in June 2023 in a large twin room. The room was in the top floor (14th) with a nice view of the Sky Tree. For Tokyo the room was big enough, although "large" means that we indeed had a small table and 2 chairs but still not enough place to leave a suitcase open :-) Bathroom was bigger than usual an well equipped. Windows in the room could be opened - something that is important for me. Air Condition was good and we appreciated a lot, that it didnt blow in the direction of the bed. There is only one elevator so it can take some time to get up and down but that didnt bother us at all. Location is good, you can walk there from Ueno Station but we used Inarichi station (Ginza Line) as this station is really near to the hotel.

PhilippinesWalking distance from Inaricho Station (Ginza Line). Room was small but tidy. Almost no room for luggage but you can put under the bed. We are family of 3 but we don't mind the space coz we're just staying only at night. Also the staff were helpful. Overall, the experience was great.

CyprusAs with all APA hotels, there's only one elevator in the building. This sometimes is inconvenient, especially during check-out in the morning, when everyone's trying to get to the lobby at the same time, or when the cleaning crew is using the elevator to carry things around. It was also a bit of a surprise when I realised that my room window didn't open, because it was an emergency exit! I wish I could have opened my window, because the weather was hot while I was in Tokyo, and the air conditioning is not adjustable from your room (all rooms have the same temperature it seems).
It was my second time staying at an APA hotel. It's nice to be able to find the same affordable standard of comfortable accommodation in every part of Japan. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a pretty wide bed. Amenities are also very generous for the price of the room. In general it was all good and very convenient.

IsraelWe left the hotel for two nights to take a trip to the five lakes area. they save luggage for gussets at the day of the chack in and on the day of the chack out, but we had one day that we couldn't leave our luggage there and it was a bit uncomfortable. The stuff was kind though and explain to us where we could find lockers in the ueno station and it was a good enough solution.
We really like the location, close to ueno Jr station (10 min walk) and to the ginza line (3 min walk), it was a very quiet area. Close to ueno park from one side and to Asakusa from the other side (we walked to both areas). The rooms were clean, small but still comfortable. We got a view of the Tokyo sky tree. The rooms get cleaned every day, and you get new tules and amnesties. The bed was a bit too soft, but that's my taste. The stuff was friendly and helpful, and spoke good English :) there is a super market in the next building and a microwave in the lobby. We enjoyed our staying there and it was a good value for money.
