Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandBeware that the air conditioning and heater are controlled by the whole building. I felt a bit cold at night time even under the blanket since we cannot adjust the temperature at all.
The hotel is less than 5min walk from the metro and 1 stop we can reach to Ueno and Sensoji temple. The room was spacious than i expected for the budget hotel in tokyo and it is very clean. The are plenty of amenities in the room. The staff were so friendly and nice, they offer me Sa-ke as a complimentary for the guest who check in on that day. Next to the hotel there are seafood restaurent and a big 24h supermarket which is so easy for late night snacks. I would definitely stay here again for my next trip in tokyo.

United KingdomGreat location in that it is walking distance from tourist attractions and the nearest subway station is a brisk 5 minute walk. Despite this, it is a quiet area and you can easily rest and fall asleep. Friendly staff that greet you with smile and helped with luggage forwarding. Superbly clean providing a daily tidy of your room and a proper clean every 3 days.

RomaniaStaff, cleanliness, location, whithin walking distance to Ueno and Asakusa - Senso-Ji. Also easy to reach from Narita Airport with Keisei Line or Skyliner. Although the rooms are very small, 11 square meters, the space is very well organized. There is a large desk/table, a small minibar, large TV, hangers for clothes, the space for luggage is under the bed. In the bathroom, the facilities include a magic toilet with a heated seat, and hot water for washing intimate areas, a bathtub with very good shower pressure, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair elastic, makeup remover disc, razor blade, containers with shampoo, conditioner , shower gel. The hotel also provides bathrobes and slippers. In 2-3 minutes from the hotel there are 2 convenience store, a 7-11 and another similar one, very good for breakfast.

GreeceYou get what you pay for. The staff was nice but not really helpful, they didn't help me fill out the complicated luggage forwarding form, so i just carried my bags with me. There is no laundry machine in the hotel, they point you to a nearby coin laundry.
The amenities were great, and the room was clean, even tho there were some stains on the walls and celling

Had an excellent stay. The staff were friendly, no problems with asking to hold onto luggage and booking a taxi for our last day. The location was perfect, there's both a convenience store and supermarket right around the corner, Inarichō Station (subway) was a 3 minute walk away and Ueno Station about a 6 minute walk. Ueno Park and Ameya-Yokochō were close by as well. Bed was a good size and comfortable, amenities were regularly refreshed. No issues with the room WiFi and the TV Video on Demand was all free.

AustraliaThe staff were borderline hostile. Anytime I asked them a question it was like I was asking them to donate a kidney,, even when I asked one of the front desk staff to assist me with luggage forwarding he seemed to be doing it with resentment. I gave him a gift bag of Australian treats as Omiyage as a thank you, he accepted it with utter distaste. They only cleaned the rooms every third day which I didn't care about as I was left fresh towels on door handle however they didn't bother emptying bins. Which was quite disgusting.
It was close to Ueno station

Hong KongCan't really fault them on this since it is fairly standard across most hotels in the area, but wish they had an earlier check-in time than 3pm.
Close to Inaricho station (200m walk). Check-in process easy. Allows luggage storage until check-in at 3pm. Room is small, but clean and well organised. Signs and instructions for how to use various devices in the room provided in both Japanese and English. Bed is generously large and pillows comfortable. Toilet clean and basic amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb) provided. Free Wifi provided. Complimentary bottled water provided. A relatively cheap and basic, yet well designed hotel.

New ZealandThere is no coin laundry and only one lift available, so it is a bit of waiting time if you stay on the higher floor, but it is OK.
The most spacious hotel we stayed in Japan, the bathroom was huge compared to other hotels for a twin room. Good value for money and able to extend the checkout time to 1pm.
