We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A bit hard to find initially and a little confusing as there are a number of APA hotels in the area. However once we worked it out, it is an excellent location.
Although room was small, it was very well set out and comfortable, had everything we needed. Very clean and room was quiet.

The room was small (by Western standards) but I was prepared for that & it wasn’t a problem for my purposes.
The on-site Onsen facility was really useful.

The AC needed cleaning. It smelled moldy when I turned it on, and I saw black dots in the vents (maybe mold) and I let the machine run for 20 minutes until the smell went away.
All APAs are consistent so you know what to expect when you go to different APAs. Clean beds, good laundry service, friendly staff, and Onsen on site

Room was tiny, but that was to be expected. Did not like the check-in system. It was cumbersome and took longer than needed to type in all the passport details. It would be faster to have a regular keyboard instead of the slow touchscreen. Public bath had a mildew/mold smell on one of the days.
Great central location and close to Ueno train station. Good value for money. Public bath was nice.

The rooms are small and compact, but it makes up for it through thoughtful design. I did not have any issue with opening my luggage, or hanging my clothes, or using the fridge/kettle. Location is also good.

Room sizes are small, but comfortable for 1 person.
Convenient and very cheap with a great location. Facilities are good, particularly the roof top onsen. Located close to markets, trains and restaurants.

Check in is complicate. The staff already check our reservation and passport, I do not understand why we have have To do a self check in using a machine.

Staff wasn't as friendly and accommodating. You could tell someone of them were just smiling to smile but wasn't sincere and going the extra mile like other hotels.
Breakfast was very good at a reasonable price. Location of the hotel was centralized and easy to navigate once you learn which direction you needed to go.

1. No drinking bottle water refill even stay 2 nights 2. Can’t accept to leave my luggage until I re stay on 29/3-30/3 3. Staff can’t allow to park the rent car for 5 minutes to drop the passengers and luggages .

They didn't have an air purifier in the room or in the hotel at all in which you can easily see dust flying in your room and every where. If they can fix this , then this will be the best place to stay!!

The bathtub is too high. Seniors and small people may find difficulty to get in and out. Staff speak minimal English.
Excellent location, many restaurants and shops including department stores right opposite. 30 m to Metro and 400 m to Skyliner.

The hotel would not keep my bag overnight, even though I would check-in again the day after.
Excellent location. A few steps to Ueno station and Ameyoko street. Hotel was well decorated. Check-in was automated and worked smoothly. The room was ok. It was small, but to be expected from the price range. Every room has its own WIFI hotspot, which is rare and very welcome.

Can be a long wait for the laundry.
The room had everything you needed and was cosy and comfortable. The tv had all the information you needed on it which was really helpful. The coin laundry was also quick and easy and a nice bonus amenity. Early check in was also super convenient
