Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandThe air conditioner cannot adjust the temperature. My room is quite hot. Checking in by myself is quite difficult.
This accommodation is in a good location and close to the Ueno station.

TaiwanYou may not have a lot of natural lights & view if stayed in lower floors; however it’s not bothered if you only stay in the room for sleep.
Location and big public bath. The water volumn form the shower head was definitely sufficient thus ensure nice and warm bathing experience.

AustraliaOne room was very dark and air conditioning was too hot even when set at lower temperature on room control. Staff member at second check in was not polite, almost rude.
Location was very convenient and I enjoyed using the top floor onsen area. A microwave was available. The room was small but efficient. Underbed storage for suitcase worked well.

Hong KongRoom and bathroom is small, typical Tokyo small hotel room. And a bulky water tap sharing between bathtubs and the sink, I hit my head every time I wash my face, I don’t blame the hotel for the small sink. But I got a bruise when I checked out.

Onsen is open late, which is nice after a long day. Location near multiple convenience stores and within 8 minutes walk of Narita Keisei.

SingaporeThe room is rather small so if you are travelling with family, it would not be fitting.
The location for the hotel was top tier. It is incredibly close to the train station Ueno and the Yamanote line was great to connect us to the touristy areas in Tokyo.

GermanyUnfortunately, some people didn't know how to behave in the spa. They were loud and wore swimwear. The hotel is close to the train station, but you either have to walk a lot of stairs or take a longer detour. Uncomfortable with larger luggage.
It was good for some nights to stay. Nothing special. Regular buisness hotel.

SingaporeStrict 3pm check-in time, with several guests waiting to be checked in. Only managed to check in 5-10mins after 3pm due to the queue.
It is around 5 minutes walk from the Ueno Station, conveniently located near the Ameyoko shopping street. The room is smaller than expected but reasonably priced for its location. It has a clean public bath too. Overall, a great experience.

United KingdomMy first room had a funnel view over nothing in particular so I asked to be moved, staff was very accommodating.
It’s a business hotel with small rooms but very well thought of. I was not keen on my allocated room and got changed to a room where the window was on my side rather than behind my head. Also, I had a view over the skyline and especially Tokyo skytree which was wonderful as I was extremely jetlagged and could admire Tokyo by night.

SingaporeThe hotel uses centralised air-conditioning, so I couldn't adjust the room temperature. Even if I wanted my hotel room to be colder, it was always set to "heating" especially from morning to afternoon.
The hotel location is excellent, and checking in and out of the hotel was very simple. The hotel even has a spa and public bath, which were something I never expected so that made my stay a lot more pleasant!

AustraliaBed is super uncomfortable. 1 microwave services the entire hotel. Washing machines are on the first floor, you have to walk past guests in the main foyer with your washing, very awkward. Cleaner attempted to open my door after she knocked on it, lucky I had it locked with the hook latch or else she would have seen me getting dressed, there is no “do not disturb” sticker to place on your door.

ThailandCarpet is not that clean with lots of dust. Onsen can be crowded at night and some of the tourists were a bit loud.
Onsen on the top floor is a plus. Location is the best. You can walk to Ameyoko or Takeya. Many convenient stores near by. The hotel is very close to Hibiya and Ginza line subway. JR and Skyliner are also close.
