Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

I am used to APA and Japan, if you can except the small rooms you'll be fine. The staff are beautiful people and the service is fantastic, Beware that Kabukicho is in the red light district, it is very safe though I don't recommend young kids.

IndiaThe rooms were too small for my likely. My wife and I had a tough time staying in such a small space. The bathroom was so tiny that when one person was using it we had to leave the door open. The AC was not working during this time as it was the end of winter so the heaters were still on, hated that part as it got pretty hot in the night. The windows open 2 inches so that did not help either. Can't imagine paying this much for what we got. I understand that Japan over all is expensive but this did not seem value for the spend. Just off the red light area but that did not bother us much.
The location was perfect. Heart of shopping, sightseeing and the train stations. A lot of food options close by.

10/10 - good location. So close to everything. Helpful and kind staff. The Indian restaurant downstairs was really good for dinner. It was clean. A bit small but has space under the bed which is good. We stayed here for 7 nights and were happy and comfortable the whole time. Good value.

United StatesThe sheets and comforter had a lot of remnants of stains that were not washed out. There was also hair on the towels that were in the room when I first got there. Walls were also stained, which was exacerbated because they were the kind of paper/fabric walls and it was a small room. Corners and spaces like near/under the mini fridge also had mysterious debris or dust that I really didn't want to get near. There wasn't any noticeable garbage or things left, but the random stains and small debris made me basically not want to touch anything in this room. I went and got a sleeping bag because I was afraid of touching the sheets/comforter/bed. The sheets are also very thin so very little protection against the mattress. I'm pretty sure the dust cover (running across the bottom of the bed) has never been washed. Curtains also seemed unwashed for a while. Even if I asked for new sheets, I was afraid that they just haven't replaced their bedding for a while, so they'd be in the same stained conditions. It's also across from/surrounded by host clubs that play advertisement music at all hours of the day... so you might hear the music all the time depending on where your room is.
Location is convenient (as long as you're ok being in Kabukicho) and staff was friendly.

United StatesThe cleaning ladies harass you to clean the room. No matter how many times you refuse the service they’re still gonna knock at your door multiple times and for several minutes. The massage service offer by hotel is quite good. Too bad that the operator has a discriminatory attitude towards foreigners. They automatically assume you are seeking for sexual services just because you are not Japanese. They even ask you whether you drank alcohol or not (?!) and other inappropriate questions. The room and bathroom is super tiny

United KingdomStaff weren't friendly nor helpful, they speak limited English. When we requested them to clean our rooms, they were saying it's not the time yet even though it's the 3rd day (which it's stated in their policy they would change the bedsheets on the 3rd day of the stay). Very tiny room and an extremely small bathroom you can barely walk in the room with luggages. Bed was very uncomfortable and unbalanced. It takes 8-10mins for the kettle to boil. Freezer in the fridge didn't work and our stuff got melted. Only one small lift (3 people with luggages max) and it takes ages for it to come down/ going up.
