Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaBreakfast only until 0930 (1000 you are expected to be out), the other APA hotels in the area have better breakfast), elevator overbooked during hotel rush hours
Fast check in/out, 24h restaurant on the first floor, direct in the center of Kabukicho with all its options and fun, tiny room and bath, but you get what you pay for.

RomaniaKabukicho is full of life every night. If you're into that, you are going to love it. However, if you're planning to get some restful sleep, think twice. The area can get very noisy and is filled with light.
The location is very good. The hotel is within walking distance from Shinjuku station. You can get anywhere in Tokyo from there.

Location was great. Room very cramped for 2 pax with luggage. 10 mins walk from train station. Great food all around. Very convenient to family mart etc. Near red light district. Still a very safe place. Hotel has one elevator only.

CanadaIt would have been nice if they offered one room with two beds but it didn't seem like they have that so it's fine but it ends up costing you a bit more. There is a rule where you can't have guests.
I got exactly what I paid for. The room and everything was clean. Good location in Shibuya, close to many of my destinations. The staff was friendly and gave me my package before I even had to ask.

PhilippinesUnderstand that the space is limited. Too cramp and tight but clean beddings, towels and room. :-) Maybe despite the limitations in space, a complimentary mineral water supply will do for each day of stay. Not just on the first day.
Location is very accessible to train station and lots of restaurant around the area.

United Statesthe room is so small where you can't even store a luggage unless you put it underneath the bed. But it's something to prepare for when booking this hotel. it's good if you only need it to sleep for a few hours and a single person. The staff, while not bad, didnt seem as friendly/helpful as you would expect from Japan.
the location is the absolute reason for this stay...fresh towels daily hung on your door if you have DND on

New ZealandIt's very cramped (considering its cheapness it's fair) and the neighbourhood feels unsafe and loud. The soundproofing wasn't perfect as well. The room blocked out most of the noise but you could still hear siren wails and people hooting outside.
The free wifi was very fast and good. The facility was clean and well-kept. The bed was large and comfy.

BrazilEverything was really good. The breakfast could be cheaper (I didnt eat because of the price).
APA is always a safe option in Japan. Really tall building. No noise. Excellent view if you get a high room with window. Staff always change towels and put more amenities. The location is 8min from Shinjuku station and there are a lot of restaurants and bars just outside the hotel. Really good and fun place to stay, very alive at night. Loved it, already want to go again!
