Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanThat the staff didn't offer an explanation for the toilet/lights system in the rooms - it required the card key to be put into slot by the door and it affected the room, bathroom, and desk lighting as well as the toilet functions.
The room was small, but still comfortable. The amenities offered were nice as well. The location is very close to Tameike Sanno Eki and well connected to the Chiyoda, Ginza, and Nanboku train lines.

United KingdomThe standard room is small however I know that before travelling to Tokyo as told by my Japanese friends. As a solo traveller, I can manage it around the room and be able to do some work as well. But I can’t imagine how a couple could fit in this size room, better opt for larger room.
Great central location yet quiet. Right opposite tube station in the business area (Akasaka) and convenient for all major attractions and airport. Enjoy the walk around neighbourhood searching for dinner (tons of options). Overall, Great value for money.

New ZealandTravelling from the station near the hotel to Tokyo Station was a bit of a mission. Most of the way there were escalators or elevators but there were a few times where I had to walk up/down stairs with my suitcases. Would recommend getting a taxi if you’re travelling with heavy luggage or allow for more travel time to get to the main stations.
Loved the public bath that was open to 2am and the room had all the amenities I needed - they even had some complimentary drinks in the fridge and a coffee machine. Luggage storage, check in and check out went smoothly.

AustraliaThe room was quite small so it was a hassle to get items in and out of our suitcases. The carpet wasn't the cleanest as I could see other people's stray hairs stuck to the carpet. There also wasn't many channels on the TV. I would have preferred having room service every 2nd night instead of every 3rd night.
The onsen was great, and it was nice how you could see how crowded the onsen was from the TV in the room. Even though there was a small language barrier (we got around that with body langauge and Google Translate), the reception service was fantastic. Though the rooms were small, they were well equipped and it was nice having a bidet in the toilet.

GermanyThis is my personal experience and may vary for other individuals. The hotel is structured like apartments, with rooms accessed through a ventilated, non-roofed corridor—a setup suitable for summer. However, during my visit in winter/spring, it was quite chilly, both in front of the door and in the room when the heating wasn't on. To allow for ventilation, the entrance door needs to be opened, as the window is not operable. Throughout my stay, the warm components of the breakfast consistently turned cold, and notifying the staff had no noticeable impact. The breakfast hours, from 7:00 to 9:30 (service ending at 9:00), were not ideal for business trips. In Japan, a 6:00 AM start would be more suitable. The baguette bread tasted aged and was consistently hard. On weekends, breakfast concluded too early, leaving no opportunity for a leisurely morning meal. Additionally, on Sundays, the restaurant was leased to an external caterer, preventing guests from having breakfast on-site.
This attractive hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to the National Diet Building, offering guests easy access to one of the prominent landmarks in the area. Additionally, the hotel boasts a prime location with a subway station situated right next door, enhancing convenience for guests who wish to explore the city's attractions and navigate the public transportation system with ease. The strategic placement near both the National Diet Building and a subway station adds to the overall appeal of the hotel, providing a seamless blend of accessibility and comfort for visitors seeking a well-situated accommodation option.

VietnamStaff/trainee that checked us in was not to nice and seemed tired. We did provide wrong information at first, its our fault for sure, but she was kinda annoyed and before the machine gave the room card out, she left the counter already without saying anything. Not a nice/good attitude.
Close to metro stations and quiet area. Nice area to go for a run around the imperial palace.

IsraelVery nice place to stay in Tokyo and best APA I have been to. Rooms are bigger, location is very good (20 min ride to Shibuya, 20 min walk to Shimbashi). And lately they've added nespresso coffee machines to the rooms - which is a great addition.

Rooms are small but nice. Bed was very comfortable. Onsen was wonderful. It’s not the best place for tourist activities but I actually liked it because it was very quiet and the streets weren’t over crowded like other parts of Tokyo. Transit is so good it wasn’t a problem for me to get where I wanted t
