Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CambodiaThere are no cabinets, shelves, or drawers in the room to unpack. However, suitcases slide easily under the bed and there are about 6-8 hooks on the wall and on either side of the mirror. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but my daughter was fine with it. It was difficult to get the room a comfortable temperature. (We were there in December.) We would turn the heat on to the lowest temp possible - 16 degrees, and it would become too warm and stuffy. We left it off most of the time except when we first came in from outside and for a few minutes in the mornings. Without the heat on, the room would be cool, but not cold. The bathroom, however, was never heated. It was never so cold to be miserable, but it was several degrees cooler than the room and occasionally we would have liked a warmer bathroom. It was cold outside the rooms in the common areas. I won't call them hallways because they were too wide for that and we think they were open air, but we aren't sure because we were on a low floor and didn't bother to confirm.
The hotel is very conveniently located, just steps from a metro station with two lines. That station is connected to another station with two other lines. The station is accessible by escalators. It's a very safe and quiet location just next to a beautiful, large, important shrine. (Also accessible via escalator) It's a very short walk across a broad street to a neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. If you want a hotel in the middle of things, with cafes and restaurants just outside the doors of the hotel, this isn't it, however. There's another hotel next door where we saw the airport limo bus one day but there is little else in the immediate area. The room is very clean and well-kept. It has everything you might need, from a fridge, a coffee maker, sufficient electrical outlets including USB plugs, and all the typical toiletries plus a lot more. You can control all lights without getting out of bed. It has a full length mirror. The room is small, but my daughter and I shared it for 8 nights without any issues. As near as I can tell based on my research, the room was not small by Japan standards. The lobby is lovely and the check-in/check-out process was incredibly efficient. The staff were helpful and friendly.

United KingdomTiny, I didn't appreciate how small the room would be. Beds are adequate but not overly comfortable. As a first time traveller to Japan, I was caught out here by the seemingly good price.

United KingdomThe corridors were cold. There is no bar or lounge area.
Very comfortable bed, room was clean and I liked that the staff did not enter daily, but left clean towels on the door handle each day. I stayed for three nights and was happy to make my own bed each day. I could hear no noise outside the room. There were hooks on the wall with coat hangers (no wardrobe). Great space-saving idea. There was a small bath with an excellent shower over. The breakfast buffet had enough variety to suit most tastes.

United StatesUnlike the others I stayed with, this APA does not display current usage conditions for its washers and dryers located on the first floor. Finding one that's available can be tricky. Our tip is to avoid late evening, as the inpatient guests waiting in line will not hesitate to remove your clothes if you don't pick them up as soon as your turn is finished. There are a few coin laundries around Akasaka metro stations with larger capacities, so I suggest you look up Google Maps Ahead as your backup plan. The room cleaning is very sloppy; there are hairs everywhere: on the carpet, slippers, and yukata. If you are not as sensitive as me, maybe you can pretend not to notice when organizing your luggage on the floor. However, to me, this is below average Japanese standard, just in case someone thinks it is "normal."
The hot bath on the roof and its location in Akasaka are the main reasons we chose to stay here. The Ginza Line, Namboku Line, and Chioda Line are readily accessible next to the hotel, and although it's next to the Congress Building, there are tons of restaurants, around Akasaka metro stations, and several convenient stores where you can withdraw local currencies from its ATMs. A short climb up to Hie Shrine next to the hotel offers a refreshing and delightful experience with a view nearby. The hot bath is great, although the temperature appears to be on the higher side and could fluctuate quite a bit within minutes, causing discomfort.

RussiaRoom windows was really close and directly against office. So I never opened curtains. Staff refused to help us to book restaurant by phone. I tried to make call by myself but it seems like phone in room wasn't working. And there are only few laundry machines. Nearly impossible to catch it available for use.
Very convenient location. Hotel placed near to metro station with several lines stop. Despite it close to center, it really in quite area. Comfortable room. It was really nice to have coffee machine in room.

CanadaThe hallways were cold at night since it's sort of like an open air concept. The kobini nearby are actually closed on weekend since they're inside the government buildings. So it means it's always a short walk to get stuff at night.
Compact and well thought out rooms. Tokyo isn't exactly the best for space but this one really made good use of the layout. Hotel is clean, staff are helpful. Facilities are nice - laundry on the 1st floor is convenient. Onsen is fantastic. The area is very quiet at night and it's only a short walk to get to restaurants and convenience stores. Right beside Hie Shrine.
