Room is too small, Almost no space to keep you bags open. You need to push under the bed. Toilet is very very small too.

Very clean Location was really good The other side of the road is 20% more expensive but you can walk to there (10min). Neighbouring is nice with a small 7/11 but no cafe. You need to walk 7 min to get to the first few restaurants which are located in the basement of a tower.

Commutation with a staff is a quite challenge and they are not flexible regarding inquiries

The location is good close to main metro station however the communication with the staff is a big challenge it took me 45 min to request invoice for my stay. They don’t let early check-in however you can leave your luggage.

Very odd/strict check in procedure. Staff insisted on checking in EVERYONE at 3pm which means many people wait in the foyer unnecessarily then create a long line to all check in at once even though they/we could have checked in slightly earlier as the rooms were ready anyway. Nonetheless, the hotel, facilities and staff are fantastic

Excellent location, close to Akasaka district and also the Imperial Palace

Nothing really, we have no complaints.

We were travelling with our 6 and 12 year-old children and had 2 hotel rooms. The rooms were not very spacious, but well planned and clean so it did not bother us. Breakfast was ok and the staff friendly and helpful. The location was excellent - nice quiet neighborhood and restaurants within a walking distance. Closest metro station 100m with 3 different lines to choose from. We also tried the Onsen a few times and it was a nice addition to our stay. We had a really lovely stay in Tokyo and would use this hotel again.

No wardrobe in the room, so all clothes have to be kept in a travel bag. The bathroom is really cosy.

The location of the hotel is very good, a couple of metro lines are nearby, so you can connect and get to any part of Tokyo fast and easy. Very friendly hotel staff and great service, in the reception area and the restaurant. On a daily basis they will deliver fresh towels to your room and other amenities. Breakfast is good, quite a choice of food, the area itself can get busy, but the organization is great. In the hotel you may find a spa, vending machine, and coin laundry. The room itself is cosy, for one person more than enough, a good bed for sleep and the whole day exploring the city.

The location is in a quite fancy area bec. It is near goverment buildings, but far from most attractions, and you have to walk a while to be able to take the ginza metro and walk even more for the manrouchi line to go to tokyo station Akasaka in general wasnt wasnt the best place to be for a first time tourist, next time i will choose a more engaging and easier to access area and hotel

The check-in is so high tech it can be confusing. While the staff are friendly, and just across the counter, you're basically interfacing with a computer. The bed and bath areas are clean, but the desk top and drawers were smudged and dusty.

Well-lit rooms with mini fridge, sizeable desk, and good storage mean you have the space to settle in for several days. An easy 10-minute walk to the National Diet Library, for those who are here doing research, and, for those who are here to see the sights, you're 1-minute from the Chiyoda and Marunouchi subway lines which take you right to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, and the shinkansen station at Tokyo. On-site coin laundry and great breakfast (for additional fee). Very fast wifi.

Nice hotel, a 2 min walk to metro station. Rooms are small, but it's Tokyo then. There is a nice Japanese bath on the top floor. There is nothing to complain. If I visit Tokyo again, I will surely stay here.

Room is small which is normal for Tokyo but the busy decor made it feel smaller and not very relaxing. They say they don’t do daily room service for ‘sustainability’, but then hang a plastic bag of fresh towels and yukatas on your door daily. We were only there 3 days and could have easily used the same yukatas. It also meant we had loads of towels to find room for in an already small room. I would recommend to be actually sustainable the hotel to have a sign for the door to be able to request no extra towels/yukatas.

Clean room, some free drinks in the fridge, lovely sento on site. A short walk to a neighbourhood with plenty of shops and restaurants, well connected by public transport.

This time they gave a room on the second floor which is a bit of a no man’s land and the staff forgot to change my towels twice. It’s also a bit noisy from people smoking on the same level and groups outside the main doors. Also there was an empty cardboard box outside the room next to mine that stayed there the whole time see attached pic.

Fourth time I’ve stayed as it’s a great location and relatively good value. Rooftop spa is great

Appreciated the provision of washing machines and clothes dryers on the first floor, but 3 of each seemed too few.

Fantastic location with easy access to several subway lines and in walking distance to many Tokyo highlights. The smart layout of the room made the compact space very workable (for one person at least), including a raised bed for easy luggage storage beneath. Also loved the daily provisions including a Japanese bathrobe.

The room size vs value for money was unequal in my opinion. There's very little room to store luggage in the room (basically only under the bed). The bathroom, while clean and very efficiently designed, was small. The rooms carpet wasn't as clean as one would expect with areas with a lot of dust.

The hotel is very close to the Ginza subway line. The onsen was very pleasant and open late. The area was quiet, and had a lot of great restaurants and stores close by.

there is no climate control in the room it's all set from a central location. the restaurant was never available during my stay, I assume that was just a timing thing.

the room is well decorated and comes with some complimentary water and fruit juice in the fridge. The beds are comfy if far too hot for my tastes. there is a good selection of things on the breakfast buffet and I'm told their is an on-site restaurant although that was either shut or had some private function going on so I could never try it. Fortunately for my stomach, there are plenty of restaurants a short walk away. and if none of those take your fancy, their are entrances to Metro stations every five minutes, so you can quickly get to wherever you want to go.

The luggage space under the bed isn't big enough for actual full sized suitcases (only for medium-sized, e.g. not thicker than 30cm), and since the rooms are tiny, you may have to walk over your luggage; The check in machines are a bit finicky and don't seem to always accept all cards, for instance

Air conditioning unit had mould all over it and I had to wipe it clean. Under the bed was FULL of dust. For such small rooms I think they could be cleaned deeper than what has been done. Such dust and mould in a small space isn't good for anyone

The first time we stayed at APA was five years ago and everything was ok. But during this time the hotel has become very "tired". There is dust here and there, a chair leg is wobbly there etc. For this price there are certainly better options, but overall APA continues to be a comfortable hotel in its class. And what is definitely excellent is the work of the staff, all are great. The main advantage is the location.
