Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilThe room was very small, way more than I thought, but still comfortable enough for a solo traveler. It was mostly clean, but the space under the bed reserved to put your luggage was very dusty.
It was very quiet location and there weren’t many people around or businesses as it was around government buildings, but I liked that a lot. Near multiple stations and the Marunouchi line was very convenient. So I could enjoy the quiet location while easily accessing all major locations in Tokyo. It is right in front of a beautiful shrine that I could enjoy empty during the early mornings and near the Imperial Palace.

AustraliaSelf registering at front desk, machine set up for me to scan my passport and type in my details. Didn't like the impersonal way of it. Also though my room was ready and if I wanted to go to my room half an hour early they were going to charge me $7.
Good value, clean, decent breakfast.

AustraliaDaily breakfast are the same (i.e. nothing change), especially for long stayed customer(s) like us. We also asked for feedback from my friends who stayed the same hotel and they had the same thought. I also stayed other APA hotel in Japan and their breakfast were very good such as few dishes and desserts were changed daily. Hopefully next time, I stay at your hotel, your breakfast will be upgraded.
Everything are excellent except the daily breakfast.

ColombiaLocation is convenient with several metro lines very close, especially Ginza line that was convenient to move across the city. Breakfast is varied, buffet consisting mostly Japanese food but also multiple options of western food. Helpful staff. Keep in mind the hotel is located in a less touristic and more office area.

MaltaNothing much, but I stayed there for 4 nights so used towels were piled up as I got new ones each night. So it would be nicer if there was a basket or something to put used towels in somewhere.
Onsen!! Details of the room design for more convenient use. Also location is nice as it is almost center of Tokyo so you can travel both west and east as well as north and south.

AustraliaThe room was absolutely tiny, I expected small being Japan but it was still quite a shock when I got there! If you’re just using it as a base to sleep then it’s fine.
Location was great (right near the station), staff were very friendly and accommodating, hotel was clean and the quality of the toiletry products provided in the room was very high.

United KingdomLike all Japanese hotel room it’s small but everything organised really well.
Excellent location. Metro just opposite the hotel. Nice quiet locations. Station not busy. Tried to get the bus from the airport but they said the buses didn’t go in the area. But saw an airport bus pull up to the hotel next to APA hotel, so not sure what happened there. Complementary water and juice in the fridge. Pyjamas and slippers provided. We had small luggage so size of the room not a problem.

IndiaRooms are cosy but too small I believe. The bathroom is very small Even though most of the attractions can be covered without changing multiple metros, but all of them were over 20 mins by metro which means none of them were at a walking distance. If this concerns you then look for a location that on average is nearby, because I spent a lot on IC card recharge. Two bottles of water is provided as complimentary the first day, for subsequent days you have to manage on your own
Metro was nearby, room was clean and cosy. The nearby place and ambience is good.

SpainPillows! Japanese pillows are very different to western pillows. In this case they include 2 rectangular pillows, small for western standards, but big enough (I've seen hotels with pillows the size of an A4 paper sheet). But still pillows are very flat, and not fluffy. For me this would be a major improvement for the hotel.
It is the typical Japanese business hotel with small bedrooms and set toilets, but in this case with ample common areas and a feeling of space that is not that common in these type of hotels. Rooms are very well thought off. It is not the first time I stayed in this hotel within one year, and I can see that the management is including constant improvements, like a new capsule coffee machine. Breakfast is very peculiar: very Japanese, on a way, frugal and abundant, but with western options if this is your preference in the morning. For sure I'll be back.

United StatesThe entire hotel was dark and claustrophobic - the high ceilings didn't really help - the rooms were extremely cramped and small for 2 people - not enough room for suitcases or even walking from bed to bathroom. The A/C kept turning off, and needed to be turned on again every couple hours. The people at the Front Desk were not allowed to make reservations for restaurants or attractions for guests. The viewing deck on the 17th floor was dark, small and steamy, the windows were frosted up to about 3 ft high, seating was far from the windows, and the space was mainly used as a cooling off area for people who had used the hot spring bath - it would have been nice to have a drink vending machine and bar stools to enjoy the view. Only breakfast was served in the restaurant, and it was a bit of a walk to reach other restaurants and attractions, so we mostly used Uber.
Facilities were very clean and well-kept. Front desk personnel were cheerful and polite. The garden seen from the restaurant was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. The center atrium went up from the 3rd floor to the 17th floor, and allowed outside fresh air and rain, but very little light, to come into the atrium area. A Keurig coffee maker and electric hot water pot were conveniently in the room. Automated check-in and check-out wasn't used as advertised; thankfully, the Front Desk did everything for us.
