Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesFor our trip's itinerary, it wasn't a very central location. However, it was one of our favorite and spacious hotels.
The room was great and large compared to all the other stays we had in Japan (maybe similar in size to the average hotel room in the United States), and very comfortable and clean. There was a clothing sanitizer machine in the room that could maybe also steam your clothes if you wanted it to? We didn't use it but it may be nice for those who have a meeting to go to during their stay. I loved that there was a 7Eleven right next to it, and we got our breakfasts from there.

ItalyEven if there’s the option, you can not anticipate the check-in; since most low cost airplane companies arrive early in the morning, it would be appreciated to anticipate it

AustraliaNot a good room, small double bed for two people and nowhere to put luggage. The room was also taken up with an LG styler unit which was the size of a wardrobe and we didn’t need! For some reason only one guest was shown as staying when it was me and my husband so I don’t understand as I booked the same way as all other hotels and breakfast was only for one so we had to pay for the other! Window was blocked out and could only be opened about 4 inches. I felt a bit claustrophobic. Wouldn’t stay there again.
Convenient to eateries and shops such as family mart which we used quite a bit. Close to train station into Tokyo station. Also had an Irish pub on ground floor so good for dinner. You checked in via robots and machine but worked ok with staff member you could call.

IrelandNot the cheapest, and it is hard to rate the staff if you don't actually meet any !
Very good hotel in a lively area of Tokyo, with plenty bars and restaurants nearby in Akasaka. Robot check in very quirky- which is good ! Room spotlessly clean. 3 subway stations within 10 mins walk- so you have a choice of various metro lines.

United StatesThe "robot" front desk was fine but the sound of pneumatics was reminiscent of old Disneyland animatronics. The instructions for laundry were unclear and should be updated. Soap is already in the water. Only put a few small items in otherwise the clothes are not thoroughly cleaned. Just put in the coins and go, don't bother with the "tumbler shower" button. If you need help, there's a phone for live staff who are as expected very polite and helpful, despite your terrible Google-Translate/Language--App broken Japanese. As with any hotel in Japan, the rooms and beds are small. Japanese "Queen" is closer to XL-Full US beds. Their "King" is closer to US Queen. There is very little space for large luggage or anything other than sleeping. That's just how it is. Know what you're getting into. My husband and I (see description above) are not small people and we're able to manage around each other. If you need space you'll need to spend the money on a larger room.
Location was great for us (mid-40's, first-to-Jaoan tourists from West Coast of USA, who do NOT need to be in the "heart of it all" to avoid FOMO, I'm 5'9" and 230 lbs, my husband is 6'5" and 300 lbs). Easy to walk to rail systems, bustling with business professionals during the weekday work hours, but nice and QUIET at night. Right along a street that was lined with multiple convenience stores and restaurants. Not super touristy nor obnoxiously crowded as a "must visit" place identified by social media influencers and vloggers. Just what we needed. There's so much high intensity and things to see in Tokyo, it was nice to come back to something at night where you get a bit of a sensory break.

Great location. Very clean, excellent housekeeping. Good breakfast. Comfortable LG Styler room, great for refreshing clothes without laundry (although that was available if you wanted). Would definitely stay here again.

GreeceThe small size of the room would be the only negative I can think of, but that's normal for Tokyo. I would say that compared to other accommodations it was the biggest.
The accommodation was clean, in a central location, next to the metro and many restaurants and mini markets. They provided everything one could need and would highly recommend.

AustraliaThe bathroom really stank (rm 713). No luggage space/storage in room - it would be good to have the beds elevated to allow underbed storage. Online communications were terrible - could not get definitive responses to queries; the public phone line was not user friendly - only to find out there was another/different line to call (not published anywhere) to be able to speak to anyone. 1 dinky pillow.
Requested rooms to be close together and we were on the same floor which was great. The Irish pub - staff were nice too! Human staff were great but only if you are on hotel premises.

United StatesThe pipes or air vents in the bathroom were connected to other rooms because you can smell all the unpleasant smells from other rooms at times...
The room was cleaned well and the bathroom had a good amount of counter space. The check in and check out was pretty smooth and there was free self luggage storage if you arrive early or leave late. There were plenty of 7/11s and supermarkets nearby.

United Kingdomfinding wrappers and loss items from previous customers under the settee
The rooms are quite small for two of us we had a triple room which was just about adequate with two large cases. There were 3 beds one was a bed settee which we turned back into a settee to gain more floor space there was a lot of wrappers and dust under there and things people had lost during there stay and clearly shows although they hoover every day they hoover around things, that was my only moan other than that the staff were friendly and helpful, it's very close to train stations and loads of eating places and shops too, the robots are friendly too!!
