Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThe property is close to both the metro (a 3-minute walk) and the train (a 2-minute walk), making it easy to travel to other parts of Tokyo. There are also nearby 7-Eleven stores and restaurants, so you can conveniently buy food, drinks, and daily necessities.

Quick check in process, tea & coffe facilities in the room, good location, near Asakusabashi metro station. A lot of restaurants and convenience stores around.

AustraliaThe room and the bathroom were tiny, but we knew it and it is quite standard for Japan. At the same time it was well designed, so it was ok. Also the pillows were not super comfortable.
Our stay was great! We liked the room, it was well organised and very clean. The robots at check in were a fun experience. We rented the VR for 3 days and enjoyed it a lot. The buffet breakfast was robust and very enjoyable, with a variety of meals from different cuisines. After we checked out we used a free service to store our suitcases for half a day which helped a lot. There were multiple small perks which made us feel that the hotel strives to take really great care of its guests: room cleaning every day, microwave available for all guests in the common room in 2nd floor, free umbrellas, the blinds in the room were full black-out which was really helpful to provide for a really nice sleep. The staff were exceptional, all our special requests were addressed. We really loved our stay.

NetherlandsThe check-in robots don't do much: automated check-in terminal which triggers some canned animations for "welcome" and "enjoy your stay". Some of the dancing little robots were malfunctioning. No other robots in sight anywhere. Overall still a fun gimmick.
Location was very convenient with both JR and metro station right outside the door. The room was well appointed. Self-service luggage storage worked well. The breakfast is in the Indian restaurant on the ground floor, with an interesting and delicious mix of Japanese, Indian, and some Western food. The automated check-in and check-out worked well for me.

United KingdomThe room is a bit small for a couple. Barely any space to move around.
The location was perfect, close to a lot of major stations. I love the steamer in the hotel room. So useful for keeping clothes fresh. Love the pijamas too. The shampoo and conditioner are good.

BrazilMy room was right in front of a storage room for the cleaning staff so I was disturbed by loud noises and conversation in the morning. I always woke up really early, but the only day I wanted to stay in bed until late I was kept up by loud talking in Chinese right outside my door. It wasn’t something major, but it bothered me. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and mattress was more like a Japanese futon than a regular mattress as it was pretty thin. If you like to sleep on your back it will be alright, but I like to sleep on my side so it wasn’t the best. But since I was so tired every night it was easy to fall asleep. They cleaned the toilet and removed all the garbage every day, but the room carpet was always a little bit dirty. There was a table on my room with a big warning saying it could only support 5kg and it was obvious why: the thing was extremely flimsy and it seemed like it would break with the lightest weight on it. I couldn’t even use it to eat since putting my elbows on it made it bend like it was going to get ripped from the wall. But I’m being picky since the price was very low, so I can’t expect 5 stars standards.
The hotel is good overall. It’s cheap and it’s on a great location. Check in process was easy and the staff helped me with a package I received. Cleanliness was ok, but not perfect. The gimmicky reception was cool, but don’t book here just for that, but for the good value and location. If you want to spend a lot of time in Akihabara it’s a 5 minutes train ride away.
