Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalEverything was great
Location near the airport. They provided free shuttles to the guests to the airport staring at 4:45h, 5;45h, and so on. The neighborhood is calm, not much to do, but there are a few restaurants walking distance. For us, was perfect for our last stay in tokio before go to the airport

New ZealandWe asked for 3 beds but there was no room for even one person to sit when made up. Could not locate airport shuttle at airport when arrived and airport information desk said would not run for another 4 hours. We later found it would not take our ski gear so ended up using bus & train.
Handy to bus & train.

MalaysiaThough the room can be quite small, they compensated it with best hotel services and cleanliness of the room. A very good option if you reached Tokyo late at night and wanted to have a layover.

United KingdomApart from the check in clearly needing some work, like, maybe send a message or email to every customer confirming "look, this is the name you need to use to check in", there wasn't much to point out. Except... ¥200 for 10 minutes to use the clothes dryer... That's steep! In no other hotel have I ever spent more than ¥500 for 1 full hour, same brand machine and all. In Tokyo, neighbourhood coin laundries charge around ¥100/10 minutes. I even thought maybe it was set up to a higher temperature and required less time. Nop. Started with 30 minutes and it was all still wet. Had I known it was a regular setting and if I wasn't so tired, I would have gone out and looked for a neighbourhood coin laundry, but I just ended up paying ¥1200 to make sure my clothes were dry.
I tried Henn na Hotel for its location close to HND so I could catch my morning flight without stressing. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the airport for morning and late evening flights, so that's really convenient. I stayed in the area before and liked it, it's fairly residential and quiet, good izakayas and bars, konbini and supermarkets nearby. Room was clean and quite modern, spacious, comfortable, with a projecting screen, Google Chromecast and I really liked the pillow. Bathroom is small, but actually slightly bigger than regular bathrooms at business hotels or at least better space economy as I didn't feel as cramped. Speaking of space economy, the room design was great too and, again, felt quiet spacious. As there is no restaurant on site for lunch and dinner, there are vending machines with drinks and hot meals. There's a breakfast restaurant but I didn't try it, although it seems they also offer an early morning departure Bento if you book it in advance (24h+ before). You can pick up most of your amenities by reception, which means if you stay here over a few nights, you can pick up extras. I need to give out a positive word to the staff here and pardon the rant preceding it. This is a gimmick hotel with the dinosaurs and "robots" (which are just animatronics), which is cool to see and all, but at the end of the day it's just supposed to be a no frills place with automated check in and check out. Now, given the area we are, close to the airport, the clientele is going to be quite mixed and not everyone will operate well with the automated check in simply because, even with translations, the UI is still Japanese and so something's are not going to work well in an international environment. For example, name input to retrieve reservation.
