Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere is a very cute donut café attached to the hotel and you are given a complimentary drink voucher on arrival! Luggage storage available before and after check in is very convenient. The shower area was clean and had great products, we did not use the onsen bath but it looked beautiful. There were mixed gender toilets available on the sleeping floor. We stayed in a private double room, but this was within the mixed gender capsule pod area. The bed was comfortable and clean, but noise travels very easily so perhaps wear ear plugs. Many people were walking around heavy-footed and going through their luggage until past midnight on our floor, so please be mindful of other guests when you stay!

AustraliaThe location was excellent one stop to akibahara and 2 stops to asakusa Clean facilities, comfortable beds, and a nice bathroom. The only bad thing was the noisy hosts. They didn't respect the rules, and no one said anything to them.

AustraliaI had a lovely little stay. It plays host to a wonderful, cheery vibe with the coffee shop, donuts and equally tasty breakfasts. The shared rooms were clean, lockers easily accessible and spacious and the hot spring/onsen bath a real treat after a long walk. The staff were kind and helpful and it’s location is great for accessing older parts of Tokyo and Sumida River etc.

AustraliaGreat capsules with plenty of room. I liked the corridor arrangement (instead of individual rooms) which made it feel more spacious. Everywhere was clean, the showers were good, and staff were super nice and helpful. Could also leave luggage before/after check in/out. I didn’t really use the cafe but it looked really nice!

SingaporeSleeping area was comfortable, food from the cafe was nice! I’ve got no complaints! Only issue I have wasn’t with the place or any of the staffs but the guests that was there. Some people need to learn how to respect time and people, who packs your stuff and make so much noise so late at night! Other than that, my stay there was awesome!

United StatesOther guests were up in the middle of the night making noise. Clear signs — in multiple languages— should make it clear that guests cannot be doing things in the sleeping area during sleeping hours.
Friendly staff, clean accommodations. Location is a bit outside the center of things, but not too far from train stations.

AustraliaLocation was a little far from busy areas (shinjuku, shibuya). I didn't mind this as I like quiet areas for sleeping. Just be mindful if you'd prefer to be closer to these areas :)
Friendly staff, quiet location, everything was very clean, fresh towels daily. Bed was very comfortable, pillow was also comfortable. Ample locker storage for large suitcase. I was very happy with my stay :)

United KingdomVery well located. If you are staying in Tokyo for a few days, whether you are backpacking or have a little bit more luggage, it's completely fine, and they even have a little onsen. Breakfast is very cool. They bake their own donuts in the morning, so if you go downstairs, the smell is really good. Also not to forget that the staff is really friendly and they speak English.

United StatesThey are strict about check in being until 4 p.m. which could be inconvenient for some.
Loved the cafe downstairs, especially that they opened early, because many cafes in Japan don't open until 10 a.m. The location was great, we would get back late and never felt unsafe walking (we were a group of women). Staff was kind and helpful. The showers were amazing and got to enjoy the onsen after a long day of walking.

TaiwanThe beds next to the lockers might get more noise from people who deal with the luggage. I got woken up several times at night because of that.
A bit of walk to the metro station, but a quiet location close to the river. If the weather is good, it makes a very nice walk by the river all the way to Asakusa. The whole building is not big but very nicely designed for everyone to have a nice use of space. Hot bath throughout the night is one of the best features.

GermanyI realised later the night that if the capsule curtain is fully closed, the air ventilation inside the chamber will become pretty poor, as I could feel myself breathing a lot of carbon-dioxide (definitely is the by-product of my own metabolism while sleeping). My piece of advice for those who might experience the same issue is to leave some 10% of the curtain open to allow more air flow from outside.
This place is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed to so far. Most importantly, the onsen is TOP!!!

AustraliaSome other guests can be quite noisy coming back late at night or packing their bags at weird hours (like any shared accommodation). The shower and bath facilities also close for cleaning between 9-4 which is a bit early after a big night out.
The capsules are massive, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hot bath is divine. The location is great for accessing all of central Tokyo (Asakusa, Akihabara, Shinjuku, etc.)
