Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaSome noise from next room on day 2, but that is not the hotels fault.
The location was better than I could have imagined. The staff was lovely, and the security excellent. It was so close to the station and subway, I was able to sightsee with ease. Very happy with my choice.

SerbiaRooms were small ant it is difficult to do something with big luggage in it.
Clean room, good service, a lot of consumables upon check-in, such as slippers, a toothbrush and a comb. There is a possibility to wash your clothes on the floor. Location was good, near the big shopping arcades.

United KingdomCould have been more cooking utensils. Just one chopping board was a bit inconvenient. The rooms were also tiny. Nowhere to put your bag without tripping over it.
Laundry was free and had these cool extractor fan dryers in the bathroom.

GermanyThe bathroom was still a bit dirty and there were some small hairs. It didn’t bother us much though.
Very close to a shopping street and some convenience stores. There’s a train station in walkable distance too. The check in was uncomplicated and there were some free toiletries to take in the lobby. The room was decently sized, we had just enough space to spread out our bags. Overall it was quite comfortable. There was also a common area where you could sit, eat and prepare some food.

ItalyThey don't clean the room everyday but change towels whenever you want.
We stayed at Miro Hotel in last Novembre 2024. We had a little twin room with a fantastic air conditioning and a powerful shower. Wi-fi worked perfectly. The room has a little kitchenette and in the common area there are a microwave and table where Cook something. The hotel is about 500m from Nijo station and a little bit further from Omiya station which arrives a training fron Osaka. Nearby there are a lot of traditional restaurant and convinient stores. I definitely recommend it.

United StatesThe room was exceptionally small. The pictures definitely made the space seem bigger and a small family doesn't have enough room to be comfortable. The kitchen is NOT in the room and instead is a shared space in the lobby. The AC units also have not been cleaned and can aggravate those who are easily affected by air quality.
The hotel is right next to the historic Kyoto Sanjo shopping street and made for an easy walk to get lots of delicious snacks and treats! There are local bakers, restaurants, grocery stores, laundry facilities and even convenience stores. A great location in a quiet neighborhood within close walking distance to Nijo station and easy access to bus stops.

GermanyThe location in Nijō, about 10 minutes from Nijō Station was very good. You have a good connection to Arashiyama and Kyoto Station via San-in Line as well as towards the eastern wards via Tozai Line. The Hotel was quiet nice and good for a single traveler.

AustraliaStaff OK but not overly engaging with customers & many times desk was unmanned.
Transport & supermarkets are within easy walking distance. Close to Nijo station JR & Subway lines. Good kitchen area & always clean with free tea & coffee available. Drinks machine also in this area. Baggage can be stored before check-in & also after check-out. Room small but has a bar fridge & own shower/bath/toilet.

IrelandThe walls were thin and so people were to keep quiet at night. Not an issue but something to be mindful of. The staff need to open the door leading from the reception/kitchen area to the room hallway to use the communal restroom if you haven't checked in yet - an inconvenience but NOT a major issue!
The location was fantastic, just an 8 minute walk from Nijo station, relatively close to the 206 and 207 buses, which loop the city. And yet, still tucked away on a small street for quietness, too Staff were incredibly friendly, were accommodating with English, and the supermarket and a shopping street next to the hotel is a plus! A hotel I will be making note of for the next time I decide to visit the area!

CanadaLocation of this hotel is very convenient as is about 10 mins away from Nijo Station, is also really closed to a market street where you can find supermarkets, restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel has a public kitchen that you can use to reheat or cook your food. The rooms are very spacious with also a small kitchenette, small dining table so you have plenty of space. Another thing we like is that the hotel has free washing machine to use and they provide detergent as well, however they don’t have a dryer but you can dry the clothes in your room using drying system installed in the bathroom (we used and the clothes was dry overnight).

AustraliaI was a little sad that they didnt respond in a timely manner to my question I sent on booking.com because I can't call them as I am not Japanese (travelers can only use wifi and do not have a phone number...)
It was convenient to get to, had all the essentials. I was here for a one night stay. I would say that considering the price I paid for one night it was a good value for money. The main thing I liked is that their process was very clear and stay when I am able to check in and the latest I could do that and when I can check out ect.
